winners Sylvia Sims and Rlvls John- By Alex Johnson The LB Landry Tennis Story of 1966-67 The Landry's Tennis Club was organized in the summer of 1960 with sixteen (16) members In the year of 1966-67 the membership increased to sixty five At present there are twelve girls and eight boys Junior aiid Senior High combined The players practice every day on the tennis court and also use the wall for Jackson and Crit-ty Hymes were Double runners -up in the zone 16-17-18-1967 The schools' participating were Bell1 Fredricks Green and Landry The weather was clear and warm The participants from Landry were Leroy Lombard Ronald Hill and Woodrow Howard The girls were Walda Walker and Trenace Hudson Lombard and Hill double winners Walda Walker singles runner-up Trenace Hudson and Walda Walker-doubles runner up Warren Ambrose was zone runner up In singles Frank Hooper" and Alex Johnson were winners in the zone's doubles We were winners of the point trophy in the zone On April 29 1967 the winners
