Mrs. Christine Von Bank was a guest. - o - DAUGHTER GRADUATES Mr. and Mrs. Gail Haase, Don and Sally, and Mrs. Pearl Phillips went to Cedar Falls to attend the graduation Jan, 25 of their daughter, Ann, Mrs. David Skogstrom, who received her B. A. degree for teaching. She will teach in a junior high. Mr. Skogstrom, also a student at Cedar Falls, has two more years. They came home for a few days visit at the Haase and Mrs. Vivian Skog- strom homes. - o - CARD CLUBS "Eight Specks" card club will meet Wednesday evening with Mrs. Lester Johnson. The Idle Hour bridge club met Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Ann Hanson. - o - MEETING SET The Republican Women's Club of Kossuth County is meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. in the Odd Fellows Hall at Wesley. The lesson is "Concern With Education for Retarded Children." Program, music by Mrs. R. E. Jongewaard, speaker, A. M. Quintard, Kossuth County Supt. of Schools. Hostesses are the Wesley Republican women. Buckingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Buckingham of Bartlett, has re- ' tired from (he U. S. Air Force after more than 25 years of military service. During retirement ceremonies in the Pentagon, Col. Buckingham was presented with the Presidential Legion of Merit.
