Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mrs. Peebels was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Williamson County, to Carl and Mabel (Lollar) Moulton.

She married William Peebels Dec. 21, 1946, at the home of Jake McNalley near Goreville, and he survives. Other survivors include her children, William Stacey and Janet Peebels, Rhonda R. and Larry Tanner and Marytom and Michael Baker all of Pittsburg; grandchildren, W. Chad and Farrah Peebels, Wendy S.

Peebels, Christopher D. and Angela Tanner, Jason D. and Jenny Tanner, M. Jeremy and Julie Baker and Ashley S. and Justin Cav-itt; great-grandchildren, W.

Harley Peebels, Hailee R. Tanner and Tylanna P. Peebels; and brother and sister-in-law, Carl Dean and Naida Moulton of Carrier Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ray Arlon Moulton. Mrs.

Peebels graduated from Crab Orchard High School. She worked as a secretary for Austin Powder Company until she retired in 1982. She attended Angelville Church where she taught a Sunday school class for several years. She enjoyed several hobbies, such as sewing, flower gardening and her close companions, her dogs. Leida Henry VALIER Leida Henry, 86, of Valier, died at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion. Leida was age Ron became a member of Dutch Ridge Baptist Church of Pomona and participated in a young men's Christian organization, the Royal Ambassadors. He played on the 4-H softball team, the Dare Devils, in Murphysboro.

As an adult, he continued to play softball in a men's league in Marion for several years. Ron graduated from Marion High School in 1969, and then attended John A. Logan College in Carterville. He was united in marriage to Donna S. Emery in Marion Dec.

4, 1976, and together they had one daughter, Laurel. Ron began his working life while in high school at Mack's Big Star of Marion. He later began his career with Ameren CIPS in 1971, where he remained for more than 32 years, putting in many extra years in overtime hours until his death. Ron was generous and was always willing to lend a helping hand, going out of his way to find solutions for the difficulties many people encountered in life. Ron was a member of the IBEW union for more than 30 years and once served as a union steward.

He was a commercial drivers license instructor and was honored for his efforts. Ron was a member of Fellowship Lodge 89 AF AM of Marion since May 9, 1983. He was involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization and served as a big brother to many young men, especially for the past several years to Alex Polak. Ron shared with them his interest in hunting and automobiles. He taught them by example to have good work ethics and to be responsible.

Ron loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and participated in many charitable poker runs. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Stearns of Marion; wife, Donna Stearns of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and Joseph Sandage of Marion; his great pride and joy, precious grandson, Noah Thomas Sandage of Marion; mother-in-law, Sue Emery of Marion; sister, Theresa Stearns of Marion; brother-in-law, Dale Emery and his wife, Rita Kay, of Kaneohe, Hawaii; niece, Miranda Stearns of Marion, and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Rondell W. Stearns; brother, Thomas D. Stearns; and his father-in-law, Cleo L.

Emery. Arrangements for Ronald E. "Pup" Stearns have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Marion. The time of the visitation will be after 5 p.m.

today at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home in Marion, with the Rev. Paul Lee and the Rev. David R.

Miller presiding. Interment will follow in Cana Cemetery north of Goreville. Masonic services will be conducted at 6 p.m. today by Fellowship Lodge 89 AF AM of Marion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, '2005, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in West Frankfort.

He was initiated into the IBEW Local 702 on Oct. 4, 1947. He received a 55-year pin in July 2003 for his service with IBEW, and served as vice president and treasurer for IBEW. He worked for Ameren CIPS for 43 years as a lineman and taught the lineman apprenticeship class. He retired in 1990.

He received a lifesaving award in 1963. Mr. Brown served in World War II as a sergeant, tank driver and an interpreter in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of the VFW in West Frankfort.

Mr. Brown was born Dec. 5, 1925, in West Frankfort, to John and Elizabeth (Smith) Brown. He married Maxine Savalick on Feb. 12, 1949, and she survives.

Other survivors include one son, James Michael Brown of West Frankfort; one daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Dr. Jeff Brower of Springfield; two grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Brower; one sister, Jean Keane of Niles; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy, Frank and Joe Brown; and by a sister, Mae Nigro. Harlene Cruse ANNA Harlene Cruse, 67, of Elgin, formerly of Anna, died at 11:16 a.m. Saturday, Feb.

26, 2005, in Sherbrooke Village in St. Louis. She was born June 25, 1937, in Anna, the daughter of Harlin and Lucille (Stokes) Cruse. Harlene was a retired cook at Elgin Mental Health Center, and she attended Bayless Baptist Church in St. Louis.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Gary "Buddy" and Charlene Cruse of St. Louis; her cousins, Trish, Theresa, Susan, Robbie, Keith and Paul; one uncle, Rip and Gloria Stokes of Carbondale; three nieces, Karen Flachs, Pamela Cruse and Nancy Schmitz, all of St. Louis; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in McGinnis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. William Winters ELIZABETHTOWN William Harry Winters, 81, died at 5:08 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare. There will be no public services.

Mr. Winters will be creamated. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Elizabethtown. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday 1938.

They were married 67 years. Prior to her retirement in 1982, Marguerite was co-owneradministrator of Hampton Nursing Manor (now known as Shawnee Christian Nursing Center) in Herrin. She was an attending member of Abundant Life Assembly of God in Marion. Survivors include her husband Virgil Hampton of Herrin; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Kay Hampton of Columbia, son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susan Hampton of the local area; daughter and son-in-law, Tamra and Jim Nashman of Naples, six grandchildren, Tony Hampton of Bethalto, Theresa Metz of Bethalto, Rachel Hampton Gebhardt of Tampa, Shane Hampton of O'Fallon, Meagan Nashman of Naples, Jordan Nashman of Naples, seven greatgrandchildren; sister, Marcella Johnson of Evansville, brother-in-law, Harold Brown of Evansville, sister-in-law, Norma Walker of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Annable Walker of Cottage Hills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Malvola Brown, and brothers; Val and Oliver Walker. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Abundant Life Assembly of God in Marion, with Pastor Jeff Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Stallman, 85, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in St. Ann's Healthcare Center in Chester. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in St.

John Lutheran Church in Chester, with the Rev. Mark Willig and Vicar David Kern officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

John Lutheran Debt Fund. He was a farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a life member of VFW Post 3553, Chester. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a choir member for 66 years, represented many church offices and served in the Lutheran Laymen's League.

He was a member of numerous farm organizations, and member and past director of the Farm Bureau. He was born March 27, 1919, in Chester, to Rudolph and Emilia (Koopman) Stallman. He married Henrietta Beck April 18, 1943, in Tampa, Fla. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Donald Stallman and wife Linda of Chester, Paul E. Stallman and wife Mary of Chester, and Steve Stallman of Chester; nine grandchildren, D.

Brian Stallman and wife Toni, Paul C. Stallman II and wife Tricia, Scott Stallman and wife Nicola, Karen Hall and husband Richard, David Stallman and wife Kelly, Adam Stallman and wife Susan, Ian Stallman, J.Wesley Stallman, and Lindsey Stallman; and 11 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one granddaughter. Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

24, 1915, in Johnston City, the daughter of Ernie and Dovie (Thornton) Trinkle. She married Howard Trout on Jan. 10, 1937, and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1983. She later married Lloyd Stout on Oct. 18, 1987, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1997.

Lorene graduated from Johnston City High School in 1934. She worked for a time at the Kroger store in Johnston City. She worked for seven years at the Cotton Shop Factory in Johnston City, and then for 17 years at the Tessa Tape Factory in Carbondale. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Johnston City since 1928. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Peggy Trout of Johnston City and Danny and Glenda Trout of Herrin; four grandchildren and their spouses, Melissa and Joey Winn and Daniel Trout and wife Kelley, all of Herrin, Tonya and David Flatt and Kristi and Jason Collins of St.

Peters, seven greatgrandchildren, Taylor and Joely Winn, Addyson Trout, Lauren, Katherine and Anna Flatt, and Emily Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary Perjenski SESSER Mary Perjenski, 83, of Sesser, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in her son's home in Waltonville. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sesser, with Father Steven Poole officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation will be after ,6 p.m. today in Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, with a rosary at 8 p.m.

She was born April 18, 1921, in Sesser, to Anthony Gerdgen Sr. and Barbara Evonovich. She married Bruno Perjenski, and he preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2003. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Donna Perjenski of Mount Vernon and Tom and Shirley Perjenski of Waltonville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie and Max Clarke, Tara Perjenski, Amanda and Jason Kuberski, Ellen and Matt Strothman, and Amanda Dycus; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Lilly and Audri; one brother, Anthony Gerdgen of Sesser; and one brother-in-law, Chester Perjenski.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one sister. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Billie Grasty ELDORADO Billie Louise Grasty, 81, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in Watson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell Helton and Darrell Eisenhauer officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Herrin. He was the past president of the Williamson County Retired Teachers Association, a member and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow of the Herrin Rotary Club for more than 40 years, and a member of the Herrin Chamber of Commerce for more than 25 years. He was also a member of the SIU Alumni Association, Phi Beta Kappa and the Illinois Principals Association.

He was an avid Herrin Tigers and SIU Salukis fan. He was born April 30, 1928, in Energy, to John and Ruby (Crouch) Rushing. He was united in marriage with Carolyn Sue Miller on June 18, 1949. She survives in Herrin. Also surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Kendra Sue Ferrari of Marion and Lynn Karen and Stanley Brown of Wilmington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Chad Ferrari and his wife, Brandi.

and Nichole Ferrari, all of Nashville, and Megan Brown of Wilmington, N.C.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Leonard Gentry of Kissimmee, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Nathan Rushing; and one sister, Betty June Kilbreth. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in First Baptist Church in Herrin, with the Revs. Donald Grammer and Brad Harlow officiating.

Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Herrin. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Property Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home and the church.

Carolyn Sue 'Suzie' (Lindsey) Morris MURPHYSBORO Carolyn Sue "Suzie" (Lindsey) Morris, 65, of Irondale, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in St. Louis. Carolyn was born Dec. 28, 1939, in Murphysboro.

She was a public insurance adjuster and owner of Morris and Associates. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Bobby Morris of Irondale; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert T. and Yulia Wein of Irondale; one sister, Nancy Layne of Desoto, one brother, Clifford Gordon Lindsey of St. Louis; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Delta (Fuller) Lindsey.

Carolyn was cremated. A private interment will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Fund, 846 Jerusalem Hill Road, Pomona, IL 62975.

Florence Toms BENTON Florence (Hamilton) Toms, 92, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Westside Care Center in West Frankfort. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Ron Cremeens officiating.

Burial will be in Masonic and Oddfellows' Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. born July 23, 1918, in Buckner to Robert and Alda (Butler) Smith. She married Elvert Lowell Henry Jan.

She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Connie and Robert Dawson of Carterville; three grandchildren, Jon and Stella Dawson of Zeigler, Robin Dawson of Cambria, Kent Dawson of Carterville; six great-grandchildren, James and Leslie Dawson of Carterville, Donnie and Kirstin Dawson of Herrin, Alan Anderson of Cambria, Jordan and Hannah Dawson of Carterville; nine great-great-grandchildren, Camille Sizemore, James and Alicia Dawson all of Carterville, Dakota Thome, Donnie Nathan and Nicholas Dawson all Herrin and Cassie and Richie Anderson of Cambria. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lowell Lee Henry; a great-grandson, Buddy Dawson; and five brothers, Harold, Nobel, August, Raymond and Loren Smith.

Mrs. Henry was a member of Crawford Church of Christ in Buckner. She was supervisor at a local sewing factory for more than 20 years and was famous for her pies at "Vi's Cafe" in Cambria. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Valier, with Brother Ralph Brandon officiating.
