Upper OB* Molnes Thursday, Jan. 16, 1967 Senfral Will Host Foreign Student, 1967 LONE ROCK - The FTA Club at Sentral has a project underway to sponsor a foreign student who will come to the Sentral area next fall and attend Sentral High School. The student council is a co-sponsor of the project. The students have received approval from the school board which i*lll not be able to help financially. The total cost of the project is $750 which will have to be raised from donations. The students will be asking organizations and individuals in the area for support and to date they have a pledge of 550 from the Sentral Band Mothers. The student will be obtained through an organization in Xew York, The American Field Service. It is an organization of ex-ambulance drivers of World War n who started the organi- zation to help international understanding. The cost of $750 covers the expenses of transportation and $14 per month spending money. The FTA will have to find a family to take the student in to live for the school term. The couple must be over 37 years of age, have children, and be interviewed and tested by The American Field Service.
