12 Friday, 14, Lutheran Woman Entertain With Holiday Party The annual Christmas party and the revealing of secret pals of the Women's Missionary League and the Society ol Helping Hands of the Redeemer Lutheran Church was held Tuesday night in the home of Mrs. N. jE. Luker, 403 Rollingwood. Mrs.

Luker read the Christmas story taken from the Bible and Mrs. Chris Hansen gave a reading of "If Christ Had Not Come." Christmas carols were sung and gifts were exchanged. Hostesses were Mrs. Luker, Mrs. O.

Dube, Mrs. L. C. Scharlemmer, Mrs. W.

P. Den- rnan and Mrs. J. Higginbotham. Spiced tea and cookies were served to the 34 members present visitor, Mrs.

presented the program "The Art of Dress" for members of Kappa Kappa chapter Beta Sigma Phi, Thursday night in the Community House. Mrs. Dippel, dressed in lavender wool plaid skirt, flowered print blouse with -puffed sleeves, hot pink flowered hat, unmatched shoes, and straw purse, emphasized three questions to be considered by a well-dressed person. She asked" "Do I wear colors that are becoming? Do I buy clothes that compliment my figure? Do I express my personality and individuality in my clothes?" Wilson Ray Bond and Mrs. Rice reported that the pledges have completed their training. Pledges are Mrs. Tillman O'Brien Mrs. Mike Larsen, Mrs.

Bill Hopper, Mrs. Richard King and Mrs. Charles Fuller. Co-hostesses Mrs. Paul Holladay Jr.

and Mrs. Donnie Hullum served refreshments of punch and cookies from a table covered with a Christmas cloth accented with poinsettias. A miniature Christmas tree completed the table decorations. The next meeting will be held in the home of Mrs. Jackson, 701 Chandler, with the pledges as hostesses.

Grid Hiohlights Set At Brunson "Football Highlights of 1962," an 11-minute feature film, will be shown Friday and Saturday at the Brunson Theater along -with the regular feature, "Requiem For A Heavyweight." The film shows highlights of eight major games this season. Two of the games include the University of Texas, Southwest Conference champions. She presented the Council with letter', from Austin Council for Retarded Children, asking for a contribution of $15, which the Baytown Council agreed to send to help defray expenses for the annual Christmas bus ride. Plans are being formed now, for this special event for the children in the Austin State School and Travis State School. In the past the Austin Council has called upon the Heirport McINTYRE Mr. and Mrs.

The mother is the former Miss Mary Frances Young of Baytown. business men of that city to help sponsor this event, but this year they are asking that every council in Texas assist. There will be over 1,400 children on this tour to see the many Christmas decorations throughout the city of Austin. Mrs. Coady led the group in Christmas carols, accompanied at the organ by Mrs.

Mable Parker. Mrs. D. L. Phillips reminded parents and members of the annual Christmas program which will be at 7:30 p.m.
