10-Algona, (la.) Upper Des Molnet Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1967 Bulldogs And Eagles Wind Up In Knot Algona and Eagle Grove met in a North Central Conference wrestling dual that was supposed to be one of the top events of the entire season here Wednesday night - and it turned out to be just that, with the teams winding up in a 19-19 knot. The draw ended Eagle Grove's unbeaten season and put Algona's mark at 6-2-1 in dual meets. After the Eagles zipped to a big lead during the early matches, the Bulldogs, came back with a rush to knot the score at 15-15, then the final pair of matches wound up in draws for the 19-19 total. Eagle Grove gained decisions in the first three matches of the night and quickly held a 9-0 bulge. Larry Munger then got Algona's first win, Young's victory kept him unbeaten in 17 outings this season, while Camp ran his record to 13-1, Miller 15-2, Riedinger 12-2, and Munger 12-4, during the night. The results, with Algona's grapplers listed first in each weight: 95 - Dennis Petersen lost to Mike McGonegle 2-0. 102 - Paul Watkins lost to Elwyn Bruhl, 10-3. 112 - Tom Laing lost to Doug Derscheid, 14-0. 120.- Larry Munger decis- ioned Ron Thorn 2-0. 127 - Steve Claude lost to Ken Stockdale 5-1. 133 - Don Camp decisioned Randy Busick 9-3. 138 - Randy Riedinger de- cisioned Lyle Larson 3-0. 145 - Clint Young decisioned Ted King 3-0. 154 - Bruce Bennett lost to Scott Peterson 1-0. 165 - Max Miller decisioned Marv Stueland 7-5. 180 - Phil Bode and Dave Diggins drew, 5-5. Hwt. - Brad Farnham and Terry Kremeier drew, 1-1. Booster Club Coffee The Algona Wrestling Boosters Club will hold a get acquainted coffee following the Clear Lake Algona dual meet on Friday, January 20th, in the lunch room of the high school annex. All parents of wrestlers, coaches, wrestlers, cheerleaders and wrestling boosters are welcome to attend. Card Party Knights of Columbus will sponsor a card party Jan. 18 at the KG hall beginning at 8 p.m. A film produced by Citizens for Decency will be shown. Members, wives and guests are welcome. Lunch will be served. \ Eddie Rohlin Rites Are Held At Swea City Funeral services for Eddie Rohlin, 72, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Barnes Funeral Home in Swea City. Mr. Rohlin died Jan. 10 at St. Michael's hospital at Sauk Center, Minn. He had been a resident of New London, Minn., for about 20 years after leaving the Swea Cit.y area. He operated a resort at NGW London. He is survived by one brother, George of Swea City; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hendrickson of Santa Rosa, Calif., Mrs. Ellen Carlstead, Mrs. Lilian Whittle, both of Minneapolis, and Amy Rohlin of Algona. Mr. Rohlin was preceded in death by his wife in 1965. Rev. E. R. Maus, of the Swea City Methodist church officiated. Burial was at Harrison Township cemetery. Two Mishaps Here Saturday; No Injuries Two mishaps were reported here Saturday. There were no personal injuries. The first occurred at 5:25 p. m. when autos driven by Alvin J. Kramer, 29, Algona, and Dennis L. Seefeld, 30, Wesley, collided at the intersection of Lucas and Garfield streets. Drivers stated they couldn't stop at the intersection, due to packed snow. Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $310. Police investigated. Autos driven by John P. Muller, 16, Algona, and Willard Jameson, Algona, collided on East State street at 7:45 p. m., with $150 damage estimated to the Muller vehicle. The mishap was reported to the police. $523 Damage To 5 Autos A pair of mishaps were reported here Friday, resulting in an estimated $523 damage The first occurred at the intersection of Phillips and Kennedy streets at 8:50 a.m. and three cars were involved. Autos driven by Cecil B. Burtis, 56, and Becky Hemmingsen, 17, were headed north and an auto driven by Frank L. Rosmann, 68 was headed south. All are from Algona The other occurred at 7:40 p.m. on South Thorington street. An auto driven by William B. Meister, 25, Burt, and a car driven by Marvin M. Kenne, 35.
