BiT A nuanv pact jist THK SAME. There is a story of a man who was put in public pillory because he couldn't pay a small debt. An anxious friend came to Inquire about the circumstances and then exclaimed lively: "Why. goodness gracious man, they can't put you in the pillory, just for debt!" "Perhaps not." replied the victim of mistaken justice: "but here I am." The seemingly impossible often comes true. If a man should tell his friends that he was dying of indigestion many of them would exclaim: "Why, man, indigestion isn't a killing complaint!" His all-sufficient answer would be "It is killing me." The fact is, indigestion in the full sense of the term is the most killing of all complaints.

The worst diseases that flesh is heir to have their beginnings in bad digestion. People who die of wasting illness and blood diseases are simply starved to death because the stomach and blood-making glands don't furnish sufficient nourishment to feed the constitution. Most of the people who die of consumption die because their lungs can't get enough good blood from the digestive organs. When these fail to do their work and a torpid liver allows the circulation to become choked up with bilious poisons, the whole system is laid wide open to every form of malignant and fatal malady. People by hundreds write to Dr.

Pierce at Buffalo, N. every day declaring that his "Golden Medical Discovery" has cured them of some dangerous illness that the doctors could not master; yet all that this does is to enable the digestive and nutritive organism to make good blood, and gives the liver power to keep it pure. Nature does the rest. An instance of how the digestive organism affects the whole body for good or evil is shown in the case of a little girl living in Chase (Chase Nebraska. Her father, Mr.

C. C. rUunmell. in a grateful letter to Dr. Pierce, writes: "In February, 1895, our little girl had a severe attack of grip.

It settled in her stomach, causing inflammation of stomach and bowels. We had two doctors who gave up the case; the third relieved her; but September found her helpless, in fact a mere skeleton. Our doctor being fifteen miles away, it was almost impossible to go to him once a week, so concluded to try Dr. Pierces Golden Medical Discovery and 'Pleasant Nine bottles cured her. Our bill to other doctors was one hundred dollars, and to Dr.

Pierce, only nine dollars." A New Hampshire lady. Miss H. Iff. Kelly, whose address is Box 335, Ashland, Grafton writes: "Please accept my thanks for the good Dr. Pierces Golden Medical Discovery has done me.

I had been troubled for a year with what my physicians pronounced indigestion. I had nervous headaches, an unpleasant taste in my mouth in the morning, and my blood was very poor. I tried different medicines, but to no avail. My parents insisted on my taking Dr. Pierces Golden Medical Discovery; I did so and was cured.

I cannot speak too highly in its favor." A new lease of life is given by this marvelous "Discovery" to all who are victims of mal-nutrition. It creates a vital activity of the entire system which promotes the elimination of disease germs and wasted tissue, the rapid building up of solid muscular flesh. L. S. Finney, of Amelia, Alleghany N.

writes: "After recovering from a spell of typhoid fever, I was taken with a terrible cough. After trying several remedies, and all to no avail, I decided to try Dr. Pierces Golden Medical Discovery. After taking one bottle I felt greatly relieved, and after using seven bottles I was entirely cured. Dr.

Pierces medicine is all It Is claimed to be. It is worth its weight ln gold to suffering humanity." A Virginia man, J. D. Scruggs. of TUvervUle, Amherst writes: "I had been a sufferer for three years and tried different physicians, but they did not do me any gcod.

Some said one thing and some another. I suffered with a dull pain ln left side just under ribs. Sometimes I would get so sore and stiff Inside I could not bend at all. I heitrd of your wonderful medicine and determined to give it a trial. Have taken nine bottles and feel like a new person; weigh one hundred and sixty pounds; when I first commenced taking your 'Golden Medical Discovery' I only weighed one hundred and forty-five.

I am still taking it, and think lt the best medicine in the world. I just feel like a new person from head to foot, and It ls all due to Dr. Pierces Golden Medical Discovery. I think every person ought to have this medicine within reach. I have a good color, a good appetite, and am in gocd spirits." "I will add my testimonial to your list for the good ycur wonderful medicines have dono me," writes Mrs.

Lucy Stevson, of Corinth, Grant Ky. "I suffered more than tongue oould tell for five years. I took medicine from three doctors but got worse all the time. I went to another doctor and he treated me for two years. He gave me help for a while: then I began to get worse.

My lunge became affected. I suffered all the time with my head and lungs. My limbs ar.d back would be bo sore and stiff in the morning that I could hardly get up. I felt tired and had sore throat and coughed night and day. I had a scalding of the urine and a burning sensation all the time; also had congestion and inflammation of the womb and constipation.

I was so weak I could hardly walk. Had pimples and blotches: hair fell out; had no appetite, swimming sensation in head. wrote to Dr. Pierce and i described my feeling the best I could. I received on at or.oe and started to tak.

his 'Favorite Prescription' ard 'Golden Medical Discovery' and THE ST. PAUL GLOBE SATURDAY MARCH 19, 1838. I also took Dr. Sage's Catarrh Remedy and began to feel better before I had finished the first bottle. My health has been improving ever since.

I work all the time and do not have any more trouble with my lungs, and my womb trouble is almost gone." For thirty years Dr. Pierce has been chief consulting physician of the Invalids' Hotel and Surgical Institute of N. where he has had probably a more extensive and practical experience in treating obstinate chronic diseases than any other physician in America. His remarkable prescriptions have an unmatched reputation throughout the world as the most marvelously efficacious remedies ever devised. They are the result of genius, experience and scientific common sense.

His famous "Favorite Prescription" for women is unquestionably the mcst perfect ar.d successful remedy for every form of female complaint ever invented. Taken in coni unction with the "Golden Medical Discovery" the two constitute a complete and effective course of treatment for weak, nervous, overwrought women. Any one writing to Dr. Pierce will receive careful professional consdcle; at and a letter of sensible advice with suggestions for home-treatment free of charge. If the case should have particularly complicated features, it will be considered in consultation with the most eminent specialists on Dr.

Pierces staff, and special advice and directions will be written. A copy of Dr. Pierces great thousand-page illustrated book the "Common Sense Medical Adviser" will be sent free of charge on receipt of 21 einecent stamps to pay the cost of mailing only; or for 31 stamps a. heavier clbthbound copy.
