answered in rotation) Stan Kelly former Bank Manager of the Midland Bank Crosby who died on Saturday Code na Death of former bank manager A FORMER Crosby bank manager who played football for Liverpool has died at the age of 89 Stan Kelly passed away at the Croft Rest Home Blundellsands on Saturday Born in Anfield Mr Kelly began his career in the banking world in 1921 Having worked at various branches of the Midland Bank (including Waterloo) Mr Kelly became manager of the Crosby branch in 1950 He finally retired in 15 Mr Kelly was a keen and active sports person having served as president of the Moor Park Tennis Club treasurer of tfie Foursomes Club and a member of the West Lancashire Golf Club and the Northern Club He also played centre half for Liverpool Football Club in 1922 then went on to join Marine Football Club He also served in the army between 1941 and 1945 Mr Kelly became a Mason in 1950 and served his Lodge as treasurer for 14 years He became Worshipful Master in 1950
