9 BITUARIES Northw estHerald Shaw Local.com 21,2022 After a long battle with Thomas E. Hendren died on June 16, 2022. Tom was born on January 24, 1949, to Clarence and Jose- phine (Duven) Hendren in Chicago, Il. After graduating from high school in 1967, Tom joined the Navy. He served during the Viet Nam war years 1967 to 1969 as an aviation mate third class.

He was medically retired from the Navy in 1969. Tom married Deanna Lombardo on October 6, 1979. Tom resumed his education in the mid and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from the University of Chicago and a Master of Science degree in 1989 from National Louis College of Education. Tom worked at several animal health manu- facturing facilities in Illinois, Kansas City, KS, Fort Dodge, IA and Saint Joseph, MO. in Sup- ply Chain Management and Senior Manager in Production Planning.

He retired in 2014 from Boeringer Inglheim in St. Joseph, MO. He returned to Illinois with his wife December of 2014 and was a resident of Del City Huntley, IL. In his younger years Tom enjoyed playing his guitar and banjo. Hel also enjoyed skiing in the winter.

A favorite pastime of the whole family was camping. Since retiring Tom and Deanna camped down south during the win- ter months. His favorite sport was swimming. He belonged to the Stingray Swim Club at Del Webb. Tom was a member of St.

Mary Church in Huntley and was a 4th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna (Lombardo) Hendren, his two daughters, Danielle (William) Kreke and Marielle (Mark) Nelson, his two grandsons Brandon and Quinton Nelson, his siblings Steven (Corba) Hendren, Carol (James) Wolf, David (Winnie) Hendren, Barbara (James) Wilson, Deborah (Charles) Gustafson and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. to time of Mass 10 a.m. all at St.

defiorefuneral.com THOMAS HENDREN Born: January 24, 1949 in Chicago, IL Died: June 16, 2022 in McHenry, IL Ramona Mae Bau- man, 93, of Walworth, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Golden Years of Lake Geneva surrounded by her family. Ramona was born February 12, 1929 in Harvard, Illinois to Francis Martin Wille and Bessie Alice (Car- brey) Wille. Ramona retired to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 1983. In 2012 she moved to Walworth, Wisconsin to be closer to family and began residing at Golden Years Indepen- dent Living Village. Ramona was an entrepreneur and self- taught in most of her careers.

She was passionate about everything she did with a drive for success. She had many careers throughout her life such as; working at Admiral, owned and operated the EZ Stop restaurant, she worked at the Chamber of Commerce, she owned Bauman Builders along with her ex-husband Harry Bauman, she worked at the Harvard Herald, where she created and sold adds, she attended jewelry school and studied the trade of a jeweler. Ramona also owned and operated a jewelry store in Orland, Florida. She created many beautiful pieces of jewelry for friends, family and customers. Ramona was a real estate agent, a real estate broker and a travel agent both in Harvard and New Smyrna Beach.

Ramona loved to volunteer her time. She was on the Milk Day Committees and orga- nized special guests and dignitaries, including President daughter and Olympic skater Janet Lynn. She created signs along with the help of her sisters for the vehicles in the Milk Day Parade. Ramona helped organize groups for kids such as With She was also on the Harvard School Board, a member at the Harvard Moose Lodge, a member of the Business and Professional Women of Harvard and a member at the Elks Club in Florida. Ramona was an incredibly talented woman.

She enjoyed taking lots of photos, painting, expanding her knowledge and loved to learn. She also loved to share all of her adventures and love for learning. In her down time she enjoyed bird watching. She instructed a small painting group at Gold Years Retirement Home. true love was her family and traveling.

She had traveled to every location of the world and loved a good adventure. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her life and she loved getting together with everyone and always made room for more. Ramona is survived by her children; Marilyn (Bauman Ohlenroth) Nash and David (Barb) Bauman, grandchildren; Genevieve (Jeff) Mill- er, Tyson (Amber) Bauman, Joshua (Becky) Ohlenroth, Krystal (Andy) Ohlenroth Houser, Nickolas (Libby) Bauman, Jared (Jessica) Bau- man, Caine Bauman, Jonas (Olivia) Bauman, Jane (Alan) Martin, Alyshia (Mike) Hart, and Stephanie (Trent) Raupe, 22 great-grandchil- dren. Siblings; Raymond (May) Wille, Jeanne McQueen, Mary Church, and Bonnie Miner, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dwight Eugene Bauman, her parents, Francis and Bessie Wille, and her sister, Minnie Brady. There will be a visitation from 9 AM until the 11 AM funeral service, Friday, June 24 at Saunders McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner Harvard, IL 60033. Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

Call Saunders McFarlin Funeral Home for more info at 815-943-5400. RAMONA MAE BAUMAN Born: February 12, 1929 in Harvard, IL Died: June 16, 2022 in Lake Geneva, WI Donald R. Teegen, aged 82, died peace- fully on June 17, 2022 while in the excellent care of hospice after a short battle with lung cancer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2022 from 4-8PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive McHenry, IL and on Wednesday June 29 from 10-11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 4206 Elm St. McHenry IL, followed by a funeral service there at 11AM. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Courtney Teegen until her passing in 2018; the proud father to Hildy (David Adoff), Marta (Robert Stelzner) and Andrew (Bonnie Krause) Teegen; the (even prouder) grandfa- ther to Zachary and Skyler Teegen; the caring brother to Ruth Peters (deceased), Janice Kennedy, Gerald Teegen, Leona Berg, Phyllis Diehl and Howard Teegen; the fun uncle to many nieces and nephews; and the loving partner to Diane Hynes since 2019. He was known for his dedication to hard work, his entrepreneurial spirit and ability to dream big, his integrity, his artfully designed gardens and his deep generosity with his family and friends. He was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1940 to Rudolph and Eleanor (Schnur)Teegen and took great pride in his roots and the many lessons that life on the farm provided him.

He loved playing he played catcher on the inaugural Glenview All Star little league team in 1952 and football as running back and again as catcher at Palatine HS. Sidelined by a knee injury, his love of sports continued in roles coaching and patronizing youth sports throughout his life including state champi- onship showings in Texas. A perfect day for him included many hours of diligent work followed by lively conversation with loved ones admiring his garden and enjoying a meal of freshly picked sweet corn and salad with something from the grill on the back deck. He proudly served as a naval reservist while beginning an early and successful career in underground contracting where he was known as one of the finest heavy equipment operators in northern Illinois. In the mid 1970s, he and wife Courtney moved their family to Grand Cayman Island where he launched the first commercial scale vegetable farm and later an aggregate quarry business, supporting the local economy with fresh produce and building materials while spurring the growing tourism industry.

The mid 1980s brought opportunities in land development, ranch management and oil exploration into his career portfolio with a move to central Texas. His pursuit of business ventures far and wide culminated with a return to his Illinois roots where underground contracting, land development, and the establishment of a heritage tree nursery led to his architecting the signature residential project of Stonewater currently under development in Wonder Lake where his commitment to beautiful and functional design is on full display. Donald was a devoted Christian and member of the Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) since childhood and a member of the Zion Lutheran congregation in McHenry since 2006.
