James Randolph Ward Irene Young, James R. Ward Say Vows in Trinity Episcopal Church Trinity Episcopal Church in, Fort Worth was the setting for the wedding of Miss Glenna Irene Young of Corpus Christi and James Randolph Ward of Fort Worth at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, August 22. The Reverend M. Gayland Pool, rector, performed the ceremony. The parents of the bride are Mr.

and Mrs. William Tiffin Young, 1105 Prince Street, Corpus Christi. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. S. L.

Lindsey and Mr. and Mrs. Tiffin Young of Wellington. Mr. and Mrs.

James Ward of Kilgore are the bridegroom's parents. Wedding music was presented by George Ramsey of Waxahachie. Mr. Young gave his daughter in marriage. A wedding gown of silk organza over peau de soie and Alencon lace in Victorian design was selected by the bride.

The bodice had a high lace collar and lace caplets over the Juliet sleeves, which were cuffed with lace. The billowing full skirt fell to formal length and a detachable train was trimmed with Alencon lace. Her veil was a full-length mantilla of cage design, in illusion and lace, She carried a bouquet which was a cascade of white cattleya orchids surrounded by phalaenopsis orchids. Miss Peggy Nethery of homa City was. the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Susan Chandoha of Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, and Miss Cynthia Beck of Fort Worth.

They wore hot pink chiffon juliet gowns, with the full sleeves and bodices trimmed with floral braid. Each carried a single long-stemmed rose. The best man was Kenneth W. Ward of Kilgore, brother of the bridegroom, and ushers were John E. McDanel III of Alamosa, Colorado and Steve W.

of Port Worth. The flower girl and ringbearer were Sheri Ferguson of Arlington, cousin of the bride, and Jimmy Hollingsworth of Fort Worth. Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Young were hosts at a champagne reception in the Green Oaks Inn, Fort Worth.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carthel Lewis of Route One. Mr. and Mrs.

Calvin W. Workman of Star Route, Kermit, are parents of the bridegroom. Presenting the wedding music were Mrs. Granvel Killian of Hollis and Mrs. Carolyn Kite of Canyon.

Church decorations were centered around an arched delabra. On each side were seven branched candelabras with cathedral tapers and pedestal baskets of white gradioli. Mr. Lewis presented his daughter in marriage. The bride chose a formal length wedding gown of bridal satin designed with high neckline, Empire waist and A-line silhouette.

The neckline, bodice, sleeves and front of the gown were enhanced with inserts and bands of Venise lace. A Dior bow of ribbon complemented the waist, which had a Watteau train of satin and lace. Her veil of imported illusion fell from a coif of peau de soie and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and an orchid. The bride was attended by Miss Connie Lewis, her sister, maid of honor, and Mrs. Joe Rudy of Grand Prairie.

Mrs. Johnny Embry of Muleshoe and Miss Karen Drake of Wolfforth. They wore lilac crepe dresses trimmed in deep purple velvet. The empire waists had long full sleeves, and the skirts were. floor length.

Headpieces were purple flowers trimmed in velvet ribbon, and they carried nosegays of lilac and purple asters. The best man was Hodge and groomsmen were Jim Yates, Jim Johnston, and Jim Conner, All are from Canyon. Ushers were Gary Killian, of Pecos and Granvel KilSandy Covey, Moquin' Sims, lian of Hollis. Candles were lighted by Mark Killian and Jerry Lewis. The flower girl was Stacy Saunders of Follett and Daryl Bowen of El Centro, California was ring bearer.

Guests were registered by Miss Janis Billingsley of Farwell. A reception was given in the church parlour to honor the couple. The all-white table was trimmed with shades of orchid, and appointments were of silver and crystal. Mrs. Gary Killian and Mrs.

J. C. Saunders of Follett seryed. Kelly Covey distributed the rice bags. The bride and bridegroom will make their future home in Canyon, where they are seniors in West Texas State University.

The bride is an elementary education major, while the bridegroom is a pre-law student, and he also is employed at the Amarillo National Bank. Mr. and Mrs. Tiffin Young, and Mrs. S.

L. Lindsey returned Sunday from Fort Worth, where they attended the wedding of their granddaughter, Miss Irene Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tiffin Young, of Corpus Christi. The Youngs visited in the home of their daughter, Mr.

and Mrs. J. M. Crowder. Mrs.

Lindsey was the guest of a niece, Mrs. Jimmie Skipworth and children. Visiting in the home of Mrs. Alice West is her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

Virgil Thomason and Wynne. Also visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Ira Russell of Lonestar. Mrs.

West went with Mr. and Mrs. Russell to Hedley to visit their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brunson.
