The dedication will get under way for the public at 2 p.m and Price is expected to be here at 1:30 p.m. but will leave at 2 p.m. for another engagement In Mlllstadt at 3:15 p.m. it was reported. A representative of the Post Office Department will deliver a brief message at the dedica tion ceremonies and the public is invited to inspect the new post office at 115 West Central St., Dettmers said.' The Civic Memorial High School band will provide music for the program. $275 Collected For Cancer Fund At Bethalto BETHALTO — Approximate, ly $275 .was raised by the Women's dub here In a house-to- house canvass for contributions to the*?<3pUicer -Fund Drive, it was announced by club president, Mrs. Thomas Riggs. Mrs. Riggs said the drive will continue through April and contributions are being accepted by her or the club treasurer, Mrs. Marion Klein. To Discuss League* BETHALTO — Representatives of Bethalto churches are invited to meet with the local YMCA board this evening at Civic Memorial High School to discuss bowling and basketball church leagues organized here. The "Y" board Is also expected to make plans for an awards night for boys who participated in the winter basketball program. Residents interested in managing softball and baseball teams are also invited to the meeting, board president. Paul Hattery, reported. Election Judges Listed BETHALTO-Poils in the village election Tuesday wili be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the village hall. Village Clerk William Doerr announced today. All residents are eligible to vote without prior registration, Doerr said. Mrs. Ernest Lenington was program chairman. In other action it was announced that tiie annual installation banquet will be held May 2 at the Colonial, Supper Club, The Club also voted to donate a new set of World Encyclopedias to the Public Library and donations also went to the YMCA and Easter Seal program. The incoming president, Mrs. Earl .Dodd, will represent the dub at the state convention, May 9-11 it was reported. Next meeting was announced as the annual business session with Mrs. Gene McCracken and Miss Emily McFadden as nostesses. CATHOLIC • PROTESTANT PLAN • NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (JP) -— A two-way operation between Roman Catholics and Protestants is suggested by Dr. E. Ezra Ellis, vice president of the Southern California School of Theology. He proposed that each January, during the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity," that each group pray for the other that God's will be made manifest in their relationships and that each group make an offering to the poor among the other group.
