Science Fair BUNKER HILL — Two entries received a first, three received a second, and one entry received a third rating at the district science fair held at Jacksonville Saturday. Gerald Renken and Larry Moulton received a first on their project, "Electrons at Work". Robert Teter received a first on his project, "Sonic Shake sound and vibrations. Table", WCTU Meets at Medora Home MEDORA — Mrs. Joseph Mutzbauer was hostess to the Woman's Christian Temperance Union Friday. Mrs. Don Rice presented the lesson on "Growing Character." A report of the County Institute, which was held here, was read by Mrs. Jane Shields. The next meeting will be May 5 at the home of Mrs. Shields, with Mrs. Florence Warner as leader. Bethel Classes Meet MEDORA — Senior and junior classes of Bethel Baptist Church met Friday evening at the church. Miss Linda Johnson presided. Plans were discussed for a banquet, honoring high school graduates this year. Mrs. Tom Ryder, teacher, led devotions and conducted the Bible study. Mrs. Floyd Frost assisted in serving refreshments. The June meeting win be at the home of Linda and Patty Johnson. Birthday Sapper MEDORA — Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor entertained with a birthday supper Saturday evening honoring her brother, Norbert Gehlhausen. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schnelton and fami-i ty, CarroUtan, Mr. and Mrs. John; Guttmann, Alton. Medora Notes MEDORA — Mr. and Mrs. Fred Groves, Springfield, Mo., were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Jones Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson and family have moved here from Carrollton and are occupying the Gwfllim property. He is employed on the Norton Sanders farm. Mrs. C. N. Bartow is ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wendell Towse, in Alton.
