COLUMBUS, Ohio (VP) — Although the Ohio State-Illinois football game wound up in a 20-20 tie this season, the Junior Men's Honorary Society at OSU—bucket and dipper—gets to keep "Illibuck" for a fourth consecutive year. Illibuck is the wooden turtle for which the Illini and Buckeye Grid teams compete annually. The tradition began in 1925 be- taween bucket and dipper and sachem, Illinois honorary, with a live turtle, which died three years later. The mock turtle trophy combines the two universities' nicknames. It has spent 27 years at Ohio State and 11 at Illinois. When there's a tie, it remains in possession of the previous years winner.
