C. Holland, state committee man that he had recommended the ppointment of Mr. Wilhelm. Latei In the day a wire was received from Senator Cutting stating that ho would do all possible to hasten Mr. Wilhelm's confirmation.

The Postmaster General in turn, la to recommend the appointment t-i President Hoover whose signature on the appointive document makes it valid, only after confirmation by Senate. This routine action will have to be completed before the recess of Congress on March 1. If not taken before then the action wiil be deferred until the next session of ongress in December. The recommendation of Congress Simms came after the recomnn nda- tion of the Country Republican Ceti tral committee of Mr. Wilhelm.
