Doily Wednesday, Sept. 24,1975 Alamo Senior High Activities and plans 50 th deputy commander in Exercise Cold Fire On the eastern seaboard of the United States, housing developments have destroyed many of the bald nesting grounds. Carrie Bridges is president of Quill and Scroll The Alamogordo High School Chapter of the Quill and Scroll Chib held an installation of officers at the home of Mrs. John Lee. Officers for the year are president, Carrie Bridges; vice president, Doug Spartz; recording secretary, Kathy Harris; corresponding secretary, Susan Gudec- zauskas; treasurer, Dori A pot luck dinner preceded the installation and a general business meeting followed.

Committees set up were publicity, book club, and a car committee for the Tiger Week parade. Seniors list new officers, plans Seniors at Alamogordo High School are already at work planning this activities. Several meetings have been held. The first on Aug. 27, resulted in election of officers who are Greg Waldo, president; Susan Hluchanek, vice president; Michela Maitland, secretary; Nancy Antram, treasurer.

Monday, Sept. 8, the seniors picked their graduation gowns. It was decided to have red, white and blue robes. The cost of the robes is $11.50 and must be paid for when ordered. Thursday, Sept.

18, the council selected the theme for Tiger Week. Choosing to mix Bicentennial and football together, the theme is Victory with the Spirit of National Honor Society picks Karen Hutchinson Paula Wells is Creative Arts club president Creative Arts, a club designed to motivate creative students and sell the El Alma del Tigre (the Creative Arts magazine), recently held elections. The results are president, Paula Wells; vice president, Loyce Bailey; English vice president, Doug Spartz; secretary, HonMarr; treasurer, Monica Wolfe. Members held a sales campaign through the English classes and informed students of the magazine. There are several magazines still for sale.

Those who are interested in buying an issue should contact a member of the Creative Arts Club. Mary Phillips prexy of French Club The French Club at the Senior High School, sponsored by Denise King, elected officers. They are: president, Mary Phillips; vice president, Allison Tuttle; secretary, Janice Polston. Members of the club recently enjoyed the hospitality of Gwen Wagner to view slides from France. After refreshments a meeting was held and plans for Tiger Week were discussed.

The Alamogordo Senior High School Chapter of the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools held a joint installation and induction ceremony at Grace United Methodist Church on Sept. 16. The officers installed were president, Pat Valle; corresponding secretary, Mary Perez; treasurer, Michela Joanna Swickard heads Forensic The National Forensic league has elected this officers. They include president, Joanna Swickard, vice president, Dawn Larson, and secretary, Chris Dil worth. The purpose of the N.F.L.

is to encourage and give incentive to become an effective speaker, and a more successful and influential citizen. The League plans to attend several New Mexico and Texas speech tournaments. Among them are the Southwest District and N.F.L. Regional competitions. Members will also enter speech contests sponsored by the V.F.W.

and the American gion. Maitland; parliamentarian, Tina Higgins; historians, Anita Floyd and Doug Mills. The theme for the evening to was carried out by presenting each officer with the key to his respective office. The induction ceremony was held for John Clark. Nike Club picks officers; Batte is new president The Business and Professional Club sponsors the Nike Club for career interested girls at Mid High and High School.

Officers were elected Sept. 3, and are as follows: president, Becky Batte; vice president, Beth Haynes; treasurer, Shanna Stevens; corresponding secretary, Tina Hollida; recording secretary, Paula Wells; historian, Dori parliamentarian, Lisa Peterson. The board of directors includes Shavonda Crawford, Michelle Priester and Vicki Wells. Officers were installed in a candlelight ceremony Sept. 7.

Following the ceremony a brief business meeting was held and refreshments were served. Meetings will be held every second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. GREER GARSON SANTA FE (AP) Actress Greer Garson is to be Gov. Jerry guest at a 1:30 p.m. news conference Thursday, the office said today.

Junior Class Council aids many events Junior Gass Council sponsors many of the functions of the Alamogordo High School. The largest function which they will sponsor is the annual Junior-Senior Prom, tentatively scheduled for April 24, 1976. Officers which have been elected for this year are: president, Ron Wainwright; vice president, Mark Khulla; secretary, Sidonie Edgar; treasurer, Kathy Beckett. The sponsor is Mary White. The council hopes to do the best job possible for Alamogordo High School.

The Juniors have come up with some unique ideas which will challenge present and future Alamogordo students to get involved in student activities. Theatre Arts Interest Group is formed Formation of the Theatre Arts Interest Group began with the election of officers. On Sept. 16, Mickey Carter became the new president; vice president, David Tang; secre- tary-tresurer, Heidi Campbell; scribes, Tina Higgins and Stephanie Molinar. Sponsor of the International Thespians Troupe 81 is Mrs.

Gage. The troupe plans to attend the Southwest High School Theatre Festival at UNM. Other activities planned are a Theatre and an All School Play in February. HOLLOMAN AFB Col. Vincent Roy, deputy commander for operations for the 50th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW), flew with the 8th Tactical Fighter Squadron (TFS) on Sept.

The Albuquerque Public Broadcast Corporation has filed application with the Communications Commission to broadcast seven days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight at 91.5 megahertz, the council announcement said.

The station is to begin broadcasting in mid- November with a radius of 100 miles. The council said plans for the future would include construction of relay stations to provide statewide coverage.
