Le Roy Strohman. Mrs. Richard Thoreson and Mrs. Howard Stephenson were guests for the evening. MRS. JOHN BAHR was visited last week by her daughter, Mrs. Dale Nelson of Sacramento, Cal. who came for the funeral of her nephew, Roy Douglas Nelson. MR. AND MRS. Verne Rrnk- ofske were visited by Mrs Bunkofske's brothers and families, Mr. and Mrs. George Bahr of North Mankato and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bahr of Okabena. MR. AND MRS. DonHemming- sen had as guests Sunday Mr. Hemmingsen's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. George of Storm Lake. MR. AND MRS. James Andreasen entertained their couples bridge club Saturday evening. MRS. LOU Snyder entertained her neighbors at a Christmas coffee Saturday morning. THE CHRISTMAS Bazaar sponsored by Zeta Zi sorority was held Dec. 3 at the Kossuth Motor Co. showroom. The drawing for the sweater was held at 4 p.m. and was won by Mrs. Clifford Skogstrom. RICHARD Thoreson and Kirk Hayes spent last week at the University of Wisconsin at Madison where they attended an Insurance Finance Seminar. MR. AND MRS. Martin Mimbach of Sexton had Mr. and Mrs. Joe Namer of Algona and Anna Borches of Waterloo as supper guests Sunday eve. Mr. and Mrs. Loranzie Taylor and Larry and Tommy, Tucson, Ariz., will have as holiday guests Mr. and Mrs. Mimbach of Sexton and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jennings of Los Angeles. Mrs. Mimbach is Mrs. __ Taylor's mother and Jerry is Mrs. Taylor's brother. The Mimbachs will then accompany the Jennings to California for a visit and will also visit with Mrs. Mimbach's brother, Otto Esser, at Southgate, Calif, and also with their aunt, Marie Schnell, and will also visit with Mrs. Jennings' mother, Mrs. Joe Weber, at Riverside Calif. The Mimbachs will then return to Tucson for a longer visit with her daughter and family. Elect Officers Kossuth County Real Estate Board met Tuesday night at Van's Cafe and elected the following officers for 1967: Nels Ander- son, president; Kyle Keith, vice president; Oliver S. Carlson, secretary-treasurer. The pro- gram consisted of a discussion of the marketable title act to be proposed in the 1967 legislature. Slate Church Meeting For Northeast Iowa All congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in the northeast Iowa circuit, including the witnesses from Kossuth county, have been invited to attend a mid-winter assembly to be held at the senior high school in Cedar Falls, Jan. 6, 7 and 8. The gathering is expected to attract more than 500 minister-delegates from the entire circuit. Explaining the purpose of the assembly, Kenneth Huckaby of Algona stated "The convention will enable Jehovah's witnesses and others attending to apply Bible principles more fully in their everyday lives. Emphasis on training of children and young people will be a feature of the three-day assembly." Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dole drove to Rochester Sunday evening for the latter's annual physical check-up, on Monday Dec. 5th. Mr. and Mrs. John Hayes and daughters, Jan and Susan, of Cedar Rapids, la., spent Saturday and Sunday with Marguerite Hayes. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Altman are parents of a new daughter born Dec. 2 at St Ann hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hocum from Forest City have moved to John Schnakenberg tenant house and will be employed by John. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Larson attended the funeral of Lee Pratt Monday in the Burt Methodist Church.
