AlewA Frank Thyer returned home Wednesday from the West Union hospital where he was a heart patient. Mrs. Lloyd Pruess of Strawberry Point stayed with her sister Mrs. Thyer during Mr. Thycr's hospital ization. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Davis of Randalin, were Sunday callers in the Lloyd Sprague home. Mrs. Charles McBrido and Mrs. Ted Lenius attended the Rebokah convention at West Union last Monday afternoon. Mrs. Elmer Knoed ler also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edmonds returned home Saturday from Mon tgomery, Alabama where they visited their son-in-law and daughter, Colonel and Mrs. James McFadden and two sons. Mike Lynch stayed with his grand-daughter Mrs. Frank Nelson and family in Waterloo while they were gone. The McFaddens are being transferred to the Azores soon. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Claxton, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jellings, Mrs. Vcrn Arthur, Mr. and -Mrs. Harry Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Arthur attended the open house for Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson golden wedding anniversary at Waterloo Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lester L. Nuttall and Wayne of Muskegon Mich igan were weekend guests of James Nelson. Carolyn NuttaU accompan ied them home Sunday evening. Mrs. Minnie Briggs of Oelwein was a Sunday visitor of her brother- in-law and sister Mr. find Mrs. Lloyd Sprague. Memorial Day guests in tho Lee Jellings home were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Brown and Mrs. Madge Doran of Waterloo, and Fny Davis of Oelsvein. Mrs. Robert Odekirk of Waterloo and Clyde Miner of Wild Hose, Wis., spent several days in the Burton Odekirk home. Randalla continued Jane Oakes visited from Wednesday to Friday with her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cleets in Waterloo. They brought her home Friday. Gary Seegers spent Saturday with Billy Oakes. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Oakes and Billy were Thursday evening visitors in the Fred Waskow home at Fredericksburg. Carolyn Nuttall received he B. A. degree at Luther college at Decor ah Sunday. Her parents and brother Mr. and Mrs. Lester Nuttall and Wayne, James Nelson, Mrs. Harold Ashby and Jane attended the services. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wilbur took Dennis to Vinton Wednesday, where they were met by Mr, and Mrs. Kenneth Wilbur, who took Dennis with them to Boone. He and Kenneth will work on Larry Jo's ranch this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wilbur drove to Warren HI., Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Henry Detiniler and celebrate Mrs. Wilbur and Mrs. Dettinler's birthday anniversary. Mrs. Elsie Shepard of Fayette was a Sunday dinner guest of her sister Mrs, Peter Hoepfner. Mrs. George Granneman and Wanda of Oelwein were Monday visitors of her mother, Mrs. Peter Hoepfner.
