(JOURNAL PHOTOS by Bill Huggms) FamiliarFaees Appear At Marymount Familiar fairyland characters decorated the auditorium at Marymount College for the .Junior-Senior Prom Saturday nigfit. Cinderella welcomed the guests, whod danced beneath a false ceiling decorated with sparkling figurines of numpiesiilskin, Snow White Peter Pan and Pinocchio. Dance cards were decorated with familiar faces such as the '•Ugly Duckling", ''Baby Bear" and "Jack", of beanstalk fame. During intermission, a modern fairytale, was told by Donna Caveny. Grand Island, Neb. Rosemary Napier, 613 W. Iron; Zita Brungardt, 137 N. 9th; Phillis Bryan, New Franklin, Mo.; Lbretta Weslhusin, Plainville; Margaret .Ann Jacobs, Montibello, Calif.; Mary Ann Gratz, Beloit; Imelda Wasinger, Hays; Jonaitta Kagwa, Uganda, Africa, and Isabel Rab- bon. Lanai City, Hawaii, gave the musical numbers. Christita Pasquil, Junction City, was the accompanist. At. the entrance of fairyland was .a large mural of Mary of Marymount, (he Mother of Christ, welcoming the -guests. This is the Marian Year, dedicated by Pope Pius XII to Mary and'the prom was an effort on the part of the juniors to honor her during Madonna Week, which closes with Mother's Day on Sunday. The art work was under the direction of Lynne Win and Marlene White. Sister Isabclle Marie is junior.class sponsor. DECORATIONS PLAY an important part in any successful prom.
