Woman Dies in California iStaff) Word was received here yesterday of the death at Alhambra. of Miss Elizabeth Whitehead. 82. farmer Hillsbnro resident. She died last Tuesday in the home- of her sister Mrs.

William S. Harris. Funeral services were held there Thursday. The body will be cremated and the ashes shipped to Hillsboro for burial in the family lct in the Oak Grove cemetery. Miss Whitehead was a daughter of the late Mr.

and Mrs. Jacob Whitehead pioneer Hillsboro resi- dents, she formerly taught in Hus-bnro grade schools, and for about 15 years was matron of the Wisconsin hospital for the insane at Madison. She leaves a brother. Joseph, of Rockford, and two sisters. Mrs.

Harris, and Mrs. Arthur. W. Cole of Wcllesley. Mass.
