Ohio (AP) - Some Orrville residents were doing their best to help salvage something out of a 15-car derailment Tuesday night. When part of a Pennsylvania | freight train jumped the tracks, ja tank car overturned and an aromatic liquid began leaking ; out. Investigators discovered the ' tank oar had contained 10,000 gallons of whiskey. A si>okesman for the- railroad ; said some bystanders were sampling some of the hard stuff. Orrville is in Wayne County, where selling whiskey by the drik is illegal. Flying Fish 1 To Bomb Enemy Submarines NEW YORK (API—The Navy has unve.Ued a new submarine weapon for blasting enemy submarines — at long range. It looks like a torpedo. But il works like a flying fish. Called "Subroc." the missile is launched under water, then takes off above surface, speeds to the target area and plunges back into the deep to its target. It carries a nuclear warhead. Its range was not disclosed, hut was termed greater than any antisubmarine wea)»n, except aircraft. Unofficial speculation put the range al 20 to 30 miles. Adm. W.T. Mines, deputy chief of the Navy Bureau of Weapons, said the missile "promises to he of the utmost importance" in combatting one of the m a j o r menaces in wartime — the hostile submarine.
