social security swindle involving former residents who have died One of the allegations is of obtaining a total of £16534 from the Department of Social Security over a period of 20 months The charge alleges that he falsely represented he was an agent for Margaret Mary Fyffe and was authorised to collect social security benefit on her behalf when in fact she had died on Januarv 17 1992 The fraud is alleged to have been committed between January 1992 and September this year He is further charged with three similar offences of fraud: obtaining £172 from the DSS in September last year by claiming to be an agent for Irene Nadel who died on July 27 1992: obtaining £182 in February last year and £187 in March this year by claiming to be an agent for Violet Gerard who died oil Januarv 2 1992 Booth 51 of Butterhill House oppenhall appeared before Mid Staffordshire magistrates last Friday on the fraud charge involving Margaret Fyffe and was granted bail but police rearrested him and
