Sandra "Sandy" Sisk Allen, 61, of Bonaire, died Saturday (May 3, 2003) at the Medical Center of Central, Ga. The funeral will be 7 p.m.

Tuesday at the Day Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. McCullough Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. She was born in Tuscola, the daughter of Forrest and Rosalie Sisk. She married Keith Allen; he survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Hobie Woolen of Edinburg, Marty Woolen of Mary I. Johns CHARLESTON Mary Irene Johns, 48, of Charleston, passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, May 2, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Skinner officiating.

Visitation will be two hours Pauline McGregor OAKLAND Pauline McGregor, age 81, of rural Oakland, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2003 at Boxwood Healthcare Center, Newman, Ill. Funeral services will be held at Taber Funeral Home, Oakland on Tuesday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Tony Crouch and Matt McGregor. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation Michael Probus SULLIVAN Michael Eugene Probus 50, of Sullivan died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday (May 4, 2003) in his home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the McMullinYoung Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m.

to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery, Lovington. Memorials: In Care of the Family. Michael was born May 13, Charles Sanders Jr.

Charles "Chuck" Sanders, 76, of Sullivan, died Saturday morning May 3, 2003 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan with the Dr. Garry Gromley officiating. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m.

Tuesday. Burial will be in Arcola Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the donor's choice. Chuck was born May 22, 1926 in Arcola, the son of Charles R. and Okal M.

Sexton VELETA SHIRLEY Veleta Alma Shirley, age 86, of Mattoon, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2003, at the Douglas Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services celebrating her life will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Diener officiating, assisted by the Reverend Steve Massengill. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery in Richland County.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Veleta was born April 28, 1917, in Richland County, a daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Laura (Wells) Scott Siverly CASEY Scott Eugene Siverly, 18, of Casey, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Saturday (May 3, 2003) at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. from injuries sustained in a four -wheeler accident.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Casey with Rev. Marvin Oakley and Rev. Dennis Steckley officiating. Burial will be in CaseyCumberland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Markwell Son Funeral Home in Casey is in charge of the arrangements. He was born Aug. 3, 1984 in Mattoon, the son of Scott L.

Siverly and Terry Turner Siverly Cribelar. Surviving are his mother Macon and Zachary Allen of Bonaire, two daughters, Kim Henderson of Mt. Zion and Brittany Allen of Bonaire, one sister, Brenda Stevens of Neoga; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was a chiropractic assistant in Leavengood Chiropractic Healthcare and was a member of the Day Springs Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Warner Robins, GA 31088. Thomas Clearwater NEOGA Thomas prior to the service at the funeral home. Mary was born June 15, 1954 in Charleston, daughter of Hubert and Mary Helen Keefer Cunningham. She is survived by one son: Jarrod Johns of Charleston; one brother, Chuck Groves of Neoga, Illinois; her partner in life, Thomas D. Holsapple of Charleston; and her precious dog: Max.

Mary was preceded in death by one son, Jamie will be Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pauline was born May 7, 1921 rural Kansas; the daughter of Walter E. and Carrie Hall Wright. She married Marion McGregor on June 29, 1940.

He died June 11, 1999. Surviving are three sons: Myron and wife Mary of Oakland, Lowell and wife Judy of Lovington, Lyle and wife Mirra of Hume; one daughter, Kay and husband Wayne Lovell of Effingham. Also sur- 1952 in Monticello the son of J.L. and Audrey Benton Probus. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, Sullivan.

He enjoyed Dirt Track, NASCAR Racing, Auctions, Demolition Derbies, and he loved his truck. Family suggests casual dress. Michael is survived by his father; stepmother, Lynn Probus; his sons, Mike Probus Jr. of Sullivan, Kurtus Doss of Lovington; daughter, Amber Matheson (Chad) of Sullivan; grandchildren, Bailey, Moranda, and Ayden Matheson and Phoenix Sanders. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and served in the Philippines and was a member of the Sullivan First United Methodist Church, Sullivan American Legion Post Arthur Masonic Lodge AF AM, had served as East Nelson Town Clerk, attended Julian School and graduated from Arcola High School.

He married Patricia J. Black on January 30, 1947 in Arcola. Chuck was elected to the Sullivan Community Unit School District No. 300 Board of Education in 1963 and served for 15 years and was board president from 1973 to 1978. Chuck was instrumental in forming a local steering committee in 1966 that led to Kinkade.

She married Everett L. Shirley on August 8, 1937. He passed away on February 27, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Elaine Shirley; one daughter-in-law, her parents, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include two sons, Garry L.

Shirley and wife Charlene and E. Leonard Shirley, all of Mattoon; four grandchildren, Steve Shirley of Mattoon, Beth Young of Charleston, Shelley Bolen of Mattoon and Gene Shirley of Mattoon; five great-grandchildren, Katie Shirley, DJ Shirley, Sue Ann Shirley, Stevie Leigh Young and Blake Bolen; two brothers, Ben Kincade and wife Eloise of Pontiac and Dale Kincade and wife Norma of Noble; two sis- Terry Cribelar and her husband Brent of Casey; his father, Scott L. Siverly and his wife Linda of Casey; one brother, Mike Siverly of Casey; maternal grandparents, John and Jane Jodry of Martinsville; step-paternal grandfather, Elvin "Shorty" Cribelar of Casey; paternal grandmother, Linda Warner Siverly of Westfield; maternal great grandparents, Lucille Johnson of Marshall and Pauline Jodry of Martinsville; and many good friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Siverly. Scott was a full-time student at Lake Land College in Mattoon and employed at Casey Implement Co.

Also surviving are one daughter, Micah; two sons, Devin and Dallas; one stepdaughter, Jessica; her mother and stepfather, Shannon and Steve Kelp of Findlay; grandmother, Donna Rickey of Findlay; one brother. Jimmy Rickey of Assumption; and one sister, Ashleah Varvil of Findlay.

Fickes, age 75. of Johns a Christian Singles and also Friendship Baptist Church of Charleston. viving are 11 grandchildren, 12 great -grandchildren and one sister, Ruth and husband Robert Daughtery of Mattoon. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, six sisters and two grandchildren. She was a member of the Antioch Seperate Baptist Church of Oakland.

Larry and Marcia Smith and Kathy Hall. He was preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents, Ruby and Robert Probus, Joe and Kate Benton and brother, Robert. the development of Junior College District that included Effingham, Fayette, Moultrie and Shelby Counties. In 1972 he helped establish Who's Who and Hall of Fame to honor Sullivan alumni and the Marvin Rice Scholarship in 1974. Surviving are his wife.

Patricia J. "Pat" Sanders of Sullivan; sons, Stan C. Sanders of Coral Springs, Florida, Greg R. Sanders and his wife Debbie of Sullivan: brother, John Sanders and his wife Norma of Starke, Florida; grandchildren, Andrew D. Sanders, Patrick C.

Sanders, Phillip N. Sanders and Emilie W. Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents. Shirley ters, Mary Kimmell of Olney and Pauline Rodgers of Findlay, Ohio; and several special nieces and nephews.

Shirley Shirley retired from Mattoon Garment Factory. She was a Charter member of the Mattoon Free Methodist Church and a member of the W.C.T.U. Veleta was an avid seamstress and enjoyed doing sewing for other people making quilts for family and friends in her retirement. Memorial gifts may be made to the Free Methodist Church. Program where just this past Friday he was excited because he got to break down his first tractor.

He was a 2002 graduate of Casey High Siverly Siverly School where he lettered in football. He also worked for Kent Johnson, Jim Mullins and Bill and Judy Crouch. Scott was an avide sportsman. He loved the outdoors and to hunt and fish. Through this tragedy, Scott was able to save the lives of others by being an organ donor.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of MYRA FICKES Mattoon, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2003, at the Sarah Bush Lincoln He alt Center. Graveside services celebrating her life will begin Fickes at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Dodge Grove Cemetery with remembrances offered by her brother. Dr.

Glen Crum. No visitation is planned. The Schilling Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Myra was born July 27. 1927.

in Humboldt, a daughter of Earl and Maude (Brown) Crum. She married Herman Charles Bergfeld in 1948. He passed away in 1950. She married Raymond Edward Fickes in 1954. He passed away in 1977.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Julia Lou Bergfeld and Jennifer Lee (Bergfeld) Baker; one brother, Robert Crum; and one sister, Ruth Crum. Survivors include one daughter, Mona (Fickes) Moses and husband Monte of Altoona, Alabama; one son, Tim Fickes and wife Jill of Carbondale; one sister, Lois Pittman and husband William of Decatur; two brothers, Dr. Glen Crum and wife Harriett of Manchester, Missouri and Kenneth William Crum and wife Marian of Cheney, Washington; five grandchildren, Lana, Lindsey. David. Leanna and Bradley; two great one stepdaughter, Joan (Fickes) Critchelow and husband William of Mattoon; two stepgrandchildren.

Debbie and Lisa: two stepgreat-grandchildren; and long time special friend. Betty Armstrong of Mattoon. Mrs. Fickes retired in 1995 as the Director of the Family Planning Center of the Coles County Health Department. Myra was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her memberships in the American Legion Post 88 Auxiliary.
