Monday (Aug. 23, 1999) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr.

E. E. Elliott officiaiting. Burial will be in Dodge Cemetery. Bean Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

She was born March 11, 1915, in Mattoon, the daughter of Stephen Douglas and Anna Belle Erickson Aleshire. She married Melvin D. Bean in 1942. He died in 1970. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs.

Jim (Marlene Ann) Highland of Mattoon! and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son and two brothers. Mrs. Bean retired in 1981 from General Electric. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and, the Mattoon Senior Center.

Chaney, 82, of Orlando, formerly of Hidalgo, died at 4:16 p.m. Friday (Aug. 20, 1999) at Florida Hospital South, Orlando, Fla. The-funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkley Funeral Home, Greenup.

Burial with graveside military rites will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Newton. Visitaiton will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born May 7, 1917, in Hidalgo, the son of Otto and Ada Bilby Chaney. He married Beatrice "Bee" Cummins.

She survives. Also surviving are one son, Fred Chaney of Ft. Myers, and one sister, Lucille Allison, of Champaign. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mr.

Chaney was a civil service worker with the U.S. Government He attended the Methodist church, was an Army veteran of W.W. and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 285, Orlando, Fla. Nettie Freese YORK, PA.

Nettie E. Freese, 90, of York, formerly of Sullivan, died at 1:25 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 21, 1999) at the Manor Care Health Services, S. York, Pa.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was born May 29, 1909, in Olney, the daughter of Ed and Harriett Montgomery Slover.

She married Earl E. Freese in 1928. He died in 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Kay Hostelter of York, and Peggy Ellen Shipman of Lovington and two She was also preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson, Mrs. Freese had farmed with her husband until 1989.

She was a member of the Windsor Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the Windsor Christian Church or the American Heart Association. Mary Lee MATTOON Mary Lee, 92, of Mattoon, formerly of Springfield, died at 1025 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 22, 1999) at her residence.

A graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield, with the Rev. Robert Ernst officiating. There will be no visitation. The Bisch Son Funeral Home, Springfield, is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born Feb. 27, 1907, in Dortmund, Germany, the daughter of John and Barbara Weber Sabo. She married Patrick Joseph Lee in 1926. He died in 1982. Surviving are one son; Donald R.

Lee of Waggoner; one daughter, Patsy R. Cooper of Mattoon; one sister, Elizabeth Bright of Tempe, five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Lee was a volunteer for Senior Citizens Daily Bread.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland. Paul McNamer DENVER, COLO. Paul McNamer, 89, of Denver, formerly of Charleston, died Wednesday (Aug. 18, 1999) at his home. Services will be held in Denver, today with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.

He was born July 19, 1910, in Charleston. Surviving are his wife, Bessie; one son, Billy of Phoenix, and one sister, Alma D. Mdgeel of Denver, Colo. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Beatrice Sheaks WINDSOR Beatrice Gertrude Sheaks, 84, of Windsor, died at 6:50 p.m.

Saturday (Aug. 21, 1999) at the Mattoon Health Care Center. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home. She was born April 17, 1915, in Shelby County, the daughter of Frederick Guy and Opal Gertrude Conrad Storm. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Noel Dean (Gloria) Helton of Windsor and Mrs. Ray (Nancy) Stewardson of Medford, five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Storm Memorial Library, Windsor. Dr. Otto Weiss MORRISTOWN, N.J. Dr. Otto Weiss, 90, of Morristown, N.J., formerly of Mattoon, died July 13, 1999.

He was born Feb. 5, 1909, in Vienna, Austria, the son of Joseph and Fritzi Weiss. He was married to Dr. Anna Weiss. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs.

Philip (Susie) Schneider of Wayland, and Mrs. Stephen Coffey ml A a Bands separate htgh temperature zones for the day. (Toni) Guss of Morristown, N.J.; four grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. Mr. Weiss practiced medicine with his wife in Mattoon from 1940 to 1969.

He was a member of the Masonic Temple, Lions Club, Mattoon Jewish Community Center, International College of Surgeons, and was a Boy Scout leader in Vienna, Austria. He received his medical degree and specialty in surgery from The University of Vienna. He and his wife came to the U.S. as refugees in 1938. After leaving Mattoon, Dr.

Otto was a surgeon at the Lyons V.A. Hospital in Lyons, N. and also served as acting chief of surgery from 1981-1999. Mildred Wheeler FINDLAY Mildred Wheeler, 83, of Findlay, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday (Aug.

21, 1999) at the Sullivan Care Center, Sullivan. The funeral was Monday morning at Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Findlay. Burial was in Findlay Cemetery. She was born May 31, 1916, near Findlay, the daughter of Walter and Treva Wood Stumpf. She married Paul R.

Wheeler in 1940. He died in 1972. SuCTiiyAng are, many, nieces, nephews, and (i. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mrs.

Wheeler was a home-maker. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Visiting Nurses or to the donor's choice. Bariether service MATTOON The funeral for Juanita Virginia Bariether was Monday afternoon at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Clark officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

The organist, Valerie Gibson, played "How Great Thou Art," and "The Old Rugged Cross." The pallbearers were Ernest Welch, John D. Conyers, Rick Hunt, Bob Welch, and Jim Bareither. Mrs. Bariether, of Mattoon, died Aug. 18, 1999, at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation.

The funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.

on Wednesday at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Dickinson officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wanda was born in Denver, Colorado on August 29, 1920, a daughter of Edgar and Emma Caldwell. She married Hubert A. Coffey in 1941. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1993. Survivors include two sons Harold G.

Coffey and Jerry D. Coffey and wife Mary Beth, all of Mattoon; three grandsons, Tony A. Coffey and wife Pam of Mattoon, C. Todd Coffey and wife Jodi of New Braunfels, Kenny Coffey and wife Kati of Mattoon; two great-grandsons, Tony Coffey of Mattoon and Cole Coffey of New Braunfels, and one great-granddaughter, Rayna Coffey of New Braunfels, Tex. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

The funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev.

Larry Jones officiating assisted by the Rev. Rodney Houser and the Rev. Lloyd S. Bassoo. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from pm. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Virginia was born in Cumberland County on June 25, 1933, the daughter of Luther F. and Lottie J. Thompson Briggerman.

She married the. Rev. James Cole Davisson on June 11. 1953. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1999.

'I Survivors include four children, Vickie Hayes and husband James of Charleston, Terry Davisson Phillips and husband Terry, James A. Davisson, and Jane Burrell and husband Mark, all of Mattoon; four grandchildren, Charlie Hayes and Lucas Hayes, both of Charleston and Tiffany Burrell and Jennifer Burrell, both of Mattoon. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother. Mrs. Davisson was a 1951 Charleston High School graduate.

She was co-owner and operator of the Reliable Janitorial Service in Mattoon. Virginia was a member of the Praise Assembly of God of Charleston. For many years she was active serving with her husband in his ministry. Virginia was also a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She has gone home to be with her "Buddy." Memorials may be made to the family.
