ENJOY CHESTERFIELD, Jan. 3 —(Special)—Funeral services for Robert Curtis Fenton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Fenton, who reside south of Chesterfield, were held Friday from Warner funeral home, Medora, with the Rev. T. C. Henderson, pastor of the United Church, officiating. Burial was In the Keller cemetery, west of Chesterfield. Fenton died Wednesday, after an Illness of several years. He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Melvina Dodson, Cottage Hills, and Mrs, Velma Tuetken, Alton, two grandmothers, Mrs. Effie Fenton and Mrs. Helen Curtis, both of Chesterfield, and several uncles and aunts. Mrs. Vernori Doughty and Mrs. Richard Metcalf conducted the music, which included two duets, "The Old Ruged Cross" and "Good Night, and Good Morning." Pallbearers were boyhood friends of Albany neighborhood and Included James Pointer, James Brooks, Wendell Dowland, Pete Burns, Howard Snidle, and Nelson Fenton. Former Pastor Dies CHESTERFIELD —The Rev. T. C. Henderson, pastor of the United Church, has received notice of the ,death of the Rev. W. T. Campbell, which occurred Dec. 22, at Ava, where he had been pastor of the Presbyterian church for the past 16 years, The Rev. Campbell was 86 and was pastor here In 1905, serving the Congregational Church a number of years. The Rev. Henderson also re ceived word of the death of hi brother, Robert Henderson, 7. r Waverly, Ohio, which occurro several days ago. Due to weathe conditions the Rev. and Mrs, Hen derson didn't make the trip t< Ohio. Macoupin Recreation School Set for Jan. 24 CARLINVILLE, Jan. 3 —(Special)—The Macoupin County Recreation School will be held Jan. 24 with Martha Carlisle, recreation specialist from the University ol Illinois. They will review and plan the program for the coming year. Macoupin County was lauded by the state 4-H committee for outstanding work it has done in developing new recreation for 4-H clubs. The recreation group received a $25 award in the staU rural arts and recreation contest, The 4-H club leaders are urged to have their recreation leaders attend this meeting. It has been the aim in the past to have each club send' one representative to the school.
