Johnson is one of the best coaches ever had the opportunity to be around throughout my career as a player or coach," Seminoles coach Mike Norvell said in a news release. "He is a remarkable teacher and men- tor who has tremendous versatility in knowledge and skillset developing players at the running back and wide receiver positions.

It was set to expire on Jan. 31, but Pruitt had in- terest in retaining him. FSU has not re- leased terms of Johnson's deal. FSU hired Norvell as its head coach last month. Johnson coached under Norvell at Memphis during the 2016-17 seasons.
