Miss Meyer was the recipient of the scholarship fcr the state of Iowa. Miss Meyer has been affiliated with Upper Iowa University • since 1943. Swedmark of Bel- lirgham, Wash., is another new faculty appointee this year. Swedmark, who has taught for the past several years at Western Washington College in Bellingham, will serve as assistant prof- Trip Hobart Gary who has been a resident of Dallas Center 38 years has made a lot of trips as an official "garbage man" in the past 11 years. He makes one regular trip a week to the city dump that is located about four miles west of Dallas Center. That's 572 trips in 11 years and 2,188 miles, not counting extra jaunts he makes frequently each week.
