The general public is invited to attend both the Baccalaureate services and the Bach cantata. compensation, according to Ed Goodcr, commander of the local Legion post Mr. Gcoder stated that the final date for filing the bonus ap- and plications was Dec. 31, 1960. However, a bill to extend the final date for filing to Dee. 31, 19G2, was passed by the House of Representatives. The bill was Fishing regulation* Change on July 4 Effective July 4, members of the U. S. military forces must be on active duty and be legal residents of Iowa in order to be able to fish or hunt in Iowa without a license. Servicemen from, other states will be charged the same fee for fishing and hunting licc'.vsos that their home state charges Iowans. Commercial fishing is restricted from within 300 yards of the farthest projection of any dam on the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. The former restriction was 100 yards. This law provides uniformity with the Illinois and Wisconsin codes. All persons who fish for or take trout from designated trout waters in Iowa and who are required to have a resident nonresident fishing license must purchase a special trout stamp and place it on their fishing license. The proceeds from the sale of these stamps will be used exclusively for the trout stocking program. Already in effect is the new price for fishing licenses, $2.50. Hunting licenses are $2.50 also, and the combination hunting and fishing licenses are $4.50. The restriction against selling hunting or fishing licenses to residents of any state wWfch prohibits the 3ale of licenses or restricts the privileges of residents of this state more than the residents of their own state, has been removed. Anyone from any state can now purchase hunting, fishing, or combination licenses in Iowa. This does not refer to commercial licenses, however. Hereafter, no licenses or tags for commercial fishing gear, or no bait dealer's licenses may be issued to residents of states who do not sell similar licenses, tags, or certificates to Iowa residents.
