Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Brintlinger and Ann Banfield Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 3 to 8 P.M., Friday, September 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Ann was born April 2, 1974 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Connie Banfield. She was a 1992 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School, 1996 graduate of Millikin University and received her Masters Degree from Drake University. Ann started her teaching career as a Health and Physical Education Teacher and Assistant Athletic Trainer at Naperville North High School in 1996. Four years later she became Head Athletic Trainer and Health and Physical Education teacher at Glenbard East High School in Lombard, Illinois. While at Glenbard East she was very active in community service projects with her students.

She worked with the local Ronald McDonald House with many different endeavors and did many other volunteer projects. She was the former Secretary and very actively involved with the Illinois Association of Athletic Trainers. Ann is survived by her parents, boyfriend Matthew Mattoon, sisters Allison Sparrow and husband Steve, Joy Stoerger and husband Wes, nephews Skyler and Seth Sparrow, Drew and Cole Stoerger. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and may friends. Also surviving are her dogs Emmett and Dunaj who she dearly loved, as well as, her cat Belle.

She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and her cousin. Ann was a warm, giving person, always smiling and going the extra mile for those she met. Inurnment services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Marian Home, Decatur, Coberly IL will be handling the arrangements. A native of, and born in Decatur, Illinois, on September 14, 1918, Marian was a daughter of Ben and Henrietta Kortum. She was preceded in death in August 2004 by her husband, James Allen Coberly (Jim).

After retirement in 1965, Marian spent the intervening years caring for her family, and as a member of the Decatur Genealogy Society she became deeply involved in genealogy research. Marian and Jim spent many enjoyable years traveling the Midwest researching their own and others' family histories. Marian is survived by her children: Alice Hill (Jim) Springfield, IL; Mary Mosser Allen, TX; Bill Coberly (Margaret) Kawkawlin, MI; Dan Coberly (Claudia) Park City, UT, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, also by her sisters: Mrs Henrietta Britton and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Grace Nees and one granddaughter.

He survives. Maggie worked at Walrus Mfg. retiring after many years. She and her husband were devoted to stock car racing, with ownership of several race cars over the years, which they raced at Macon Speedway and many other dirt tracks in the Midwest. During the winter months, Maggie enjoyed coffee hour and playing games with her friends in Florida.

She also enjoyed crocheting afghans. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a true "Die-Hard" Cubs fan. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leslie "L.R." of Decatur, IL; children Jim (Joyce) Jenkins of Hot Springs Village, AR, Les Paul (Judy) Jenkins of Harristown, IL, Joe (Sunni) Jenkins of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Jason (Lesley) Jenkins, Dawn (Kelly) Osborne, Tracy (Brian) Verbiski, Josh Jenkins, Brett Jenkins, Greg Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Lindsay (J.D.) Behnke, Jessica Benton, Jacob Sefton, Joe Sefton; 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
