Texas; four daughters, Deborah Lynn of Arcola, Jackie Lynn of Charleston, Cheryl Lynn and Tammy Lou, both of Mattoon; two brothers, Howard Davenport of DeKalb and Jim Davenport of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Mary Ellen Peterson and Anna Bell McClure, both of Mount Vernon; 14 grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers. Mrs. Boyer operated Doris's Crafts and More and later worked for Casey's General Store, both of Oakland.

She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and was a musician in the Bill Boyer the Country Flames Band. Carl Cribelar MARTINSVILLE Carl Thomas Cribelar, 67, of rural Martinsville, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 1 17, 2002) at his residence. funeral will be 10 a.m.

Tuesday at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville with Rev. Larry Hollensbe officiating. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery with military rites by Martinsville American Legion Post 515. Mr. Cribelar was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the IBEW Local 725. He was associated with the Blue Grass Church of God in Martinsville. Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Church Building Fund.

Flora Howard WEST UNION Flora Z. Howard, 90, of West Union, formerly of Lockport, died at 8:40 p.m. Friday (Aug. 16, 2002) at Burnsides Nursing Home in Marshall. The graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Monday at York Cemetery with Pastor Don Russell officiating. Visitation will be from a.m. at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union. She was born Dec. 23, 1911, in New Madrid, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Maggie Mae Page Freeman.

She married James Ferguson; he preceded her in death. She later married Ernest Howard; he also preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Cassie Newlin of rural West Union, Wanda Nagel of Lockport and Ann Newburn of Moore, one son, Paul Howard of Waco, Texas; eight grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one -grandchild. Mrs.

Thelma Pifer Thelma Pifer SULLIVAN Thelma Hazel Pifer, 92, of Sullivan, at 11:35 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 17, 2002) at Heritage Manor in Bloomington. The funeral will be at 1:30 Tuesday at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial will in Greenhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born July 4, 1910, Shelby County, the daughof Arlie and Maud Houser Craig. She married Chalmer R. Pifer in 1929; he died in 1999. Surviving are one son Gary Pifer of Bloomington; three brothers, Carl Craig.

Mrs. Walker was formerly employed at Northlawn' Cafeteria and most recently worked as a care giver for homebound individuals. She was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church, the B.P.O Elks Auxiliary, the Streator Matrons Club and the VFW Auxiliary.
