Rewerts, 54, of Sullivan, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday (Feb. 22, 2002) at his residence. The funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, in Lynn Burch ASHMORE Lynn Burch, 55, of Ashmore, died at 1:06 a.m.

Sunday (Feb. 24, 2002) at her residence. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup. Burial will be in Island Creek Cemetery, rural Gila.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She Was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Paris, a daughter of Kenneth and Betty C. Cox Hudson.

Survivors include her husband, David McDonald of Ashmore; her father, Kenneth Hudson of Ashmore; a son, Cody Burch of Tallahassee, a daughter, Amber Burch of Tallahassee, half-brother, Jesse Wheeler of Froid, half-sister, Elaine Clark of Froid, four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother. Mrs. Burch did furniture upholstery and refinishing work. Leroy Lieb of Shelbyville; a sister, Rosemary McDonald of Sidney; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death, by one sister and one grandchild. Mr. Lieb was a farmer in Douglas. County and Mode. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville, a life member of the Knights of Columbus 8690 of Shelbyville, charter member of Illinois Farmers Union and member of the Moose 'Lodge 1294 of Shelbyville.

Louis McCoy MATTOON Louis McCoy, 47, of Mattoon, died at 2:06 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 24, 2002) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Arrangements are incomplete at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home. Robert Reed INVERNESS, Fla.

Robert Lee Reed, 72, of Inverness, formerly of Toledo, died Wednesday (Feb. 20, 2002) in Crystal River, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Arrangements are incomplete at the Epperson Funeral Chapel, Mattoon. Ralph Guthrie GARLAND, Texas Ralph E. Guthrie, 87, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Mattoon, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 23, 2002) at Baylor Medical Center, Garland, Texas.

Arrangements are incomplete at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home. Louis Lieb SHELBYVILLE Louis C. "Jim" Lieb, 85, of Shelby ville, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 23, 2002) at Shelby Memorial Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Shelby ville, with the Rev. John Sohm officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelby ville. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m.

Tuesday at the Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. He was born July 11, 1916, in Douglas County, a son of George and Rose Catherine Schweighart Lieb. He married Maurine Lucille Kantner in 1948; she died in 1997. Survivors include sons, Larry Lieb of Mode, Lyle Lieb of Effingham; daughters. He married Barbara Maetta Grove in 1968; she died in 1984. 24, 2002) at his residence. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, in EUGENE (GENE) BOWERS CHARLESTON, IL Eugene (Gene) Bowers, age 83 of Paris and a former Charleston and Areola businessman, passed away while visiting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Thursday, February 21 (2002). Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26 at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive in Charleston.

Mr. John McArthur will officiate. Gene's family will receive guests prior to the Services from 10-11 a.m. Following the Services, Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, also in Charleston. Gene was born January 1, 1919 in Newton, Illinois the son of Orville and Irene (Monroe) Bowers.

On CHARLES "LINDY" LEE Charles Lindberg "Lindy" Lee, age 74, of Mattoon, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2002, at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home. Memorial services celebrating his life will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Schilling Funeral Home with Father Herman J. officiating.

Niebrugge Visitation will be from Noon until service time on Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. Fleta Munch SULLIVAN, IL-Fleta W. Munch, 86, of Sullivan, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday (February 23, 2002) in Sullivan Health Care Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m.

Saturday in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev, Glen Stewart and Rev. Dr. David Leslie officiating. Friends will be received one hour before services. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Mt.

He was born April 19, 1929, in Casey, the son of Charles and Goldie Johnson Reed. Survivors include three sons, Michael Reed of Wacissa, Darrell Reed of Chillicothe, and Victor Reed of Gurnee; two daughters, Beverly Jo Crose of Chillicothe, Fla. and Lisa M.

Weiland of Daytona Beach, one step-son, Jim Harlan of Greenup; one brother, Ray Reed of Inverness, three sisters, Hazel Bishop of Martinsville, Catherine Carty of Springfield and Wanda Ashmore and Nathaniel Wayne Baker of Mattoon; grandparents, Roger Zike of Mattoon, William and Deborah Groves of Ashmore, Jan Garza of Villa Grove and Glen Van Dyke of Villa Grove; great-grandparents, Marie Zike of Mattoon, Arthur Jr. Zike of Mattoon, Mildred Whitford of Freeport, Longacre Mobile Home Park in Charleston. Prior to moving to Charleston with Wilna, Larry and Suzy in 1964, he was a General Contractor and Farmer in Areola A hard worker and an extremely successful businessman, he will be remembered as a quiet, gentle and kind man who had the unique characteristics of avoiding the spotlight in life while at the same time having his presence felt. He was a devoted family man whose love and values will inspire for lifetimes his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and each and everyone of them will warmly remember his role as a compassionate caregiver for Wilna prior to her death. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and also traveled extensively and camped throughout the husband John of Bellevue, Washington; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers. Mr. Lee was a Sales Representative for Nabisco Company and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Eagles Club and V.F.W.

Post 4325. Memorial gifts may be made to Lincolnland Hospice. on October 18, 1990. -Surviving are her sons, Joel Munch and his wife Anne of Brevard, North Carolina, Rev. Jan Munch and his wife Linda of Athens, Tennessee; sister, Jeanne Kohn of Nokomis, Florida; four granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces arid nephews and special friends, Susan Wood and Colleen Mitchell.

Saben was born June 5, 2000, in Mattoon, the son of Clayton Allen Baker and Tasha Zike. He is survived by his parents of Ashmore; two brothers, Logan Nell Baker of November 24, 1939 he married Wilna Jayne Garver, He is survived by one son, Larry Dean Bowers and his wife Sharon of Paris, Illinois; a daughter, Suzy Mast and her husband Freeman of Findlay, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brad Bowers of Lumberton, North Carolina, Kelly Harris and her husband Mike of Paris, Jason Mast and Ryan Mast of Columbus, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Lauren Harris and Brandon Harris, both of Paris; and one sister, Lois Gregory of Batavia, Illinois. He was preceded by Wilna, his loving wife who passed away December 29, 1995; his parents; one brother, Dean Bowers; and one sister, Maxine Roberts. Gene retired in 1982 as owner and operator of Bowers Mobile Home Park and Lindy was born August 24, 1927 in Lincoln, a son of Charles and Geraldine Rickard Lee. He married Marilyn Cressler on Septembers, 1948.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Lee of Mattoon; four sons, Stephen Lee and wife Susan of Mattoon, Kim Lee and wife Peaches of Sacramento, California, Mark Lee of Mattoon, and Daniel Lee and wife Julie of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Michele Bonic and husband Anthony of Moline; one brother, Francis Gerald "Beck" Heil and wife Joyce of Mt. Pleasant, Utah; one sister, Rosalie Loretta Miori and the Sullivan First United Methodist Church or to the Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library, Sullivan. Fleta was born November 2, 1915, in Villa Grove, the daughter of Joel and Adena Bennett. She was a home-maker and enjoyed bowling and golfing with her friends and was a member of the Sullivan First United Methodist Church.
