Scooter found Hubert GilliUnd of 1207 East Miller, Angleton, reported an abandoned scooter at the intersection of East Miller and Downing.

A check by the Sheriff's Department indicates that the 1964 plates on the scooter were discarded by a Lake Jackson youth when he purchased new plates, and apparently picked up for use on the scooter whichGilllland found. Investigation is continuing by Angleton Patrolman Wayne Clepper. JA advisers recognized service to group Adult advisers to Brmzos- port's 12 junior Achievement companies were honored at a dinner at the Dow Hotel Saturday evening. The ceremonies were held as a tribute to the volunteer adults who have given their time to guide and counsel Brazosport's teen-age business people In the operation of their JA companies. Thirty-two JA advisers heard Byron Bailey of United Carbon, division of Ashland Oil Refining Baytown, say, "Today's world Is one of conflicting economic theories and social orders.

The JA Advisers also heard Miss Carol Peace, senior at Bratosport High school, pay a special tribute to the advisers on behalf of all Junior Achievers In Brazosport. Vincent A. Thorpe, president of junior Achievement of Brazosport, honored the advisers by presenting each adviser with a special citation for their participation In the JA program. The wives of the advisers were also recognized for their patience and encouragement they have given their husbands throughout. A warm round of applause was given to R.
