Sill I '-i tsp. pepper (i frankfurter rolls, split 6 frankfurters Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well. Spread rolls with relish mixture. That's what happened to the one who thought of dipping into the! spice jars to give flavor variety! to chicken dishes: | Herbed Chicken A la King • 1 (ID 1 ,2 oz) can cream of mush-i room soup % can milk 2 c. diced, cold, cooked clu'cken % tsp. fresh lemon juice 1 tbsp. parsley flakes % tsp. salt % tsp. crumbled rosemary leaves Patty cases, rice, chow mein noodles or toast Paprika Combine soup and milk in saucepan. Mix well and heat. Add next 6 ingredients. Stir and cook until hot. Serve on patty cases, rice, noodles or toast. Garnish with paprika. Recipe serves 6. Sour Cream Oven-Fried Chicken' 2% Ibs. frying chicken 1 c. sour cream 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 1 tsp. each salt and celery salt ^g tsp. black pepper % tsp. black pepper 2 tsp. paprika % c. flour 1 tsp salt % e. shortening Cut chicken in serving-size 1 pieces and place in refrigerator dish. Combine next 6 ingredients and pour over chicken, being sure to cover all pieces. Cover dish and refrigerate overnight. Drain. Dredge in flour mixed with salt. Melt shortening in an 8"xl2"x2" baking pan into which place chicken. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 70 min., or until done, turning to brown each side. Serves 6. Herbed Tomato Chicken . Fricassee 3 to 4 Ib. fricassee chicken 2 c. boiling water 2 tsp. salt 3 c. chicken broth 1 c. tomato juice 1 16 oz.) can tomato paste 2 tsp. chili powder % tsp. black powder V4 tsp. crumbled whole oreguno leaves 2 tbsp. instant minced onion 2 tbsp. sweet pepper flakes % c. chopped ripe olives Hot cooked rice Cut chicken in serving-size pieces. Place in saucepan with boiling water and salt. Cover and cook 1 hour or until tender. Remove chicken from saucepan. Measure broth, adding water to make 3 c. if necessary. Return to saucepan. Add all oilier ingredients except rice and keep the chicken out. Cook, uncovered, 10 min. Add chicken and cook until sauce has thickened, 15 to 20 min. Serve hot or over rice. Serves (i. Wrap! with bacon. Arrange mushrooms and onion slices on skewers. Arrange frankfurters and skewers on broiler rack or outside grill. Sprinkle with seasoned salts. Broil or grill about 4 to 5 minutes, or until bacon is done on all sides. Serves 5. Frankfurter Cabbage Slaw 1 medium cabbage, shredded 1 c. grated carrots 1 small onion, sliced 1 Ib. frankfurters, sliced l s c. sweet mixed pickles Va c. mayonnaise V* c. vinegar 1 tbsp. sugar Salt and pepper Combine cabbage, carrots, on-i ion, frankfurters and pickles;' toss lightly.
