Self Inflicted Wound Is Fatal Pratt, July of four local men arrested on a state charge of operating a slot machine has been fined for the violation of a state law. The other three have asked tor a continuance of their cases, leading to the belief that they will fight the charge. Ray Byerly pleaded guilty to the charge in justice court. Justice Cole fined him $25 and costs', making total of $32.50. The three other operators of tho slot machines asked for a continuance of their case.

Gunby, cashier of tho Buffalo State Bank, died here this morning of a bullet wound sustained Saturday afternoon. An examiner put in Saturday checking up tho bank's affairs. Late In the afternoon, Mr. Gunby loft a meeting of bank officials, saying he was going for a drink of water. Ho was found two hours later In the bathroom of his home with a wound near his heart.

He was 64 years old, born in Wilson county, where his father settled in 1S61. He. thirty years ago In Buffalo and In 1904 established the Altoona Stale bank. His widow and five sons survive. The bank's condition was good and It Is doing business as usual.
