Coffey, 78, of Mattoon died at 6:45 p.m. Monday (March 15, 1993) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Cox officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 a.m until the time of the service. He was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Newman, the son of Gerald B. and Lilly Temple Coffey.

He married Wanda M. Caldwell in 1942; she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jerry D. and Harold Coffey, both of Mattoon; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mr.

Coffey retired in 1990 as technical advisor to the Illinois Department of Transportation. He was an Air Force veteran of WWII. Mr. Coffey was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mattoon, the VFW, the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge No. 260 the Ansar Temple of Springfield, the Eastern Star, the White Shrine, the Corn Belt Shrine Club, the Low Twelve Club and York Rite, Mattoon.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Mattoon. Esther Duley MATTOON -Esther Duley, 81, of Mat- toon died at 6:40 p.m. Monday (March 15, 1993) at her residence. The funeral will be at 2p.m. Thursday at the Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Nelson officiating.

Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. She was born June 17,1911, in Mattoon, the daughter of George A. and Minnie E. Volkman Cunningham.

She married Ramon E. Duley in 1957; he survives. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Hack W. (Betty Lou) Wilson and Georgia E.

Cunningham, both of Mattoon, and Dorothea M. Horrell of Oak Forest. She was preceded in death by a brother. Mrs. Duley was a draftsman for GulfOil Co.

Tuesday (March 16, 1993) at the Douglas Health Care Center. The funeral will be at 2p.m. Thursday at the Mitchell- Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Montrose Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today. He was born Aug. 18, 1907, in Cumberland County, the son of George and Margaret Easton Tays. He married Velma Jane Baker in 1931; she survives.

Also surviving are a brother, Virgil Tays of Montrose, and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, two nephews and a niece. Mr. Tays retired from Young's Radiator after 21 years with the company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Mattoon Moose Lodge No.

803. E. Maxine Vaught SULLIVAN -E. Maxine Vaught, 69, of Sullivan, formerly of Versailles and Tipton, died at 4:10 p.m. Monday (March 15, 1993) at her residence.

The funeral will be at 6 p.m. today at the Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan with the Rev. John Maples officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of the service today.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.ra. Thursday at the Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, Mo. She was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Proctor, the daughter of William E. and Mary Louvena McTeer Bellamy.
