A coaling of tungsten, which has a melting point of over 0,000 degrees F., is shown being applied to a cone by a name-coating process made possible by a high-heat arc torch. The tungsten particles, still in lluicl or plastic stale, strike the cone at near-sonic speed, are cooled at once by carbon dioxide, and form a hard, dense surface that bonds perfectly.
