PAGE ALTON EVENING TELEGRAPH FRIDAY, JUNE 14,1963 News of Grains Futures Demand Up CHICAGO (AP'l — Demand be came strong and general in th grain futures market in the earl afternoon today with wheat anr soybeans moving up rapidly am posting broad gains on the Boarc of Trade. Soybeans were ahead abou three cents a bushel in spots a times and wheat two cents or more. Stoploss buying was urgent Rye advanced more than a ceni on all deliveries. Corn and oats were firm. Brokers said the demand for wheat followed a report that the crop of the soft red variety in Indiana was not developing as has been expected. Some advices said the heads were not felling well in some localities. Firmness in both soybean oil and soybean meal contributed to the strength in soybeans but dealers said the major factor was weather. Estimated carlot receipts were wheat 7, corn 140, oats 11, barley 26, soybeans 11 and rye none. CHICAGO (AP) — No wheat sales.
