Mrs. O'Brien is the former Miss Janice Beverly Crow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E.

Crow of Marion. The groom is the son of Mrs. Claude Harvey of Farmcrville and Mr. Roy Brien of Bastrop. Bassett of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Miss Shaw is a graduate oi Homer high school and Northwestern State College in Natchitoches where she was a member of Pi Kappa Sigma sorority. She was selected as Beauty Queen at North western in 1948 and won the title of Miss Monroe-Miss Weft Monroe in the beauty contest which was sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Ctmmerce in this city recently. Mr. Bassett graduated from Fayetteville High School and the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayettville, Arkansas, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and Delta Theta Phi law fraternity. CEREMONY UNITES JANICE CROW AND JACK O'BRIEN IN MARRIAGE Garden Club Is Formed In Marion Marion, Oct.

The ladies of Marion have just organized a Garden Club with Mrs, Virgil Gully as president, Mrs. E. H. Maroney. vice-president and Miss Bessie Tucker, secretary- treasurer.

The year book committee is composed of Mrs. Mary Lee Phillips, Miss Mary Hopkins and Mrs. Mary Virginia Jarmon. Mrs. H.

D. Green, Mrs. Eunice Brock and Mrs. Ethel Allen compose the committee on by-laws. Guests from the Farmcrville club who helped in the organization were Mrs.

R. R. James, Mrs. Ralph Harper, Mrs. N.

B. James, Mrs. Ailie Luzador and Mrs. C. C.

Murphy. among the guests. Mrs. E. N.

Craven presided at the punch bowl. Miss Ann Melton had charge of the guest book. The bride is a graduate of Marion High School. Mr. O'Brien graduated from Farmerville High School and attended Northeast Junior college.

The bridal couple will make their home in Farmerville. Miss Janice Beverly Crow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E.

Crow of Marion and Mr. Jack Mickey son of Mrs. Claude Harvey of Farmerville and Mr. Roy O'Brien of Bastrop, were recently united in marriage by the Rev. C.

H. Peaden of the First Baptist Church in Marion. The impressive double ring ceremony took place on Friday, September 22 at seven-thirty in the evening in the home of the bride. Only a few friends and the immediate families were present. Floor baskets of fern and white gladiolis flanked each side of the ivy covered living and dining room arch which made the bridal setting.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a two- piece black suit with accessories of black. She wfas carrying a white Bible topped with blue asters cascaded wdth white satin streamers. The traditional something old. something borrowed, something blue, was carried out. The mother wore a blue printed crepe dress with black and a white carnation Icorsage.

Tne mother of the groom was attractive in a black crepe dress with black accessoriea and was wearing a carnation corsage. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. The table was covered with a handsome lace cloth and centered with the three tiered wedding cake. Mrs. Raymond Albritton served the cake.
