Frank E. Poole, the driver, lost control of the car as he descended the west end of the new traffic bridge into West Monroe. A motorist driving behind Poole, said the door came open on the side and threw Poole out into the street. he was trying to rlose the door and regain his own balance when he lost the witness said. Poole was taken tn hospital by a Hall Funeral Home ambulance but was later released in custody of West Monroe police. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating beverages, causing personal injury and property damages. Dupree, the passenger, was charged with being drunk and disorderly.

James A. and Mrs. Noe, attending Marli Gras festivities in Washington at the time of his death, went to Louisville from Washingtoe to attend the funeral service. FIRE DES1R0YS ONLY THEATRE A Feb, 16 roared through only theatre Sunday Morning. Inflicting an estimated loss of $60.000, The local volunteer fire department, supplemented with one truck from the Ruston fire department, failed to save any of the theater building but confined the flames to the immediate area.

The theater building was sandwiched between the Dubach post office and a bank building. A spokesman from the scene of the fire said of the were removed from the bank and post office buildings in fear that the fire might spread. However, no damage was caused to either of the exposed buildings. Owner of the theater, O. O.

Fontenot, said he entered the building at 9 30 a m. Sunday and smelled smoke. While Investigating, he said he discovered the flames near the theater screen and sent out an alarm for help. The fire raged until 11:10. The building was "partly by insurance.

Fire chief Franks said the cause of the fire had not been determined. Fontenot said faulty wiring might have ignited the building. In addition to the firefighting unit from Ruston and the 10-man volunteer force from Dubach, of local joined in the fight. Two fire trucks were used to pump water into the flaming building. Two deep water wells feed the Dubach water system.
