The all-university council, meeting once each month, is organiz >d with four representatives each from Edwardsville and Carbon dale. Area students elected to the all university council were Kenneth Vieth. Alton, and Lyndell Leritx, Wood River. Area students on the local campus council are: Richard Lowery and James Reynolds, Roxan'a. and Donald Cohb of Wood River. Alton Indents represented on the council arc: Leo Diffenauer, Steve Tassinari, Pete M. Dominguez, Richard Murdach. Linda Risler, Taniara Hullc and Richard Duncan. Wants Students To Register At County Seat EDWARDSVILLE - Edward Knies, curriculum coordinator of Edwardsville School District 7 said today that Friday is the deadline for enrollment in summer school classes at the junior and senior high school levels. Knies urged prospective students in the summer school classes to register at the junior and senior high school offices. "Our classes are scheduled according to the number enrolled and we arc encouraging students to register now so that a class may be scheduled on the summer school curriculum," he said. The summer school session is self-sustaining and a small tuition fee is charged for the classes. Prospective summer school pupils in the elementary level are still eligible to register at the board of education office. Excavation Under Way at SlUCnmpns EDWARDSVILLE - Excavation is under way here today on the site of the first building at the Edwardsville campus of Southern Illinois University. Heavy dirt-moving equipment is being used on the campus site prior to actual start of construction of the first building a classroom-faculty office building. More than $G,700,000 in contracts were let for the first two buildings, the classroom-faculty office structure and a library building. Construction is expected to be completed for classes in September, IflG-'l.
