DOWNTOWN 904 New York There are a couple of worthwhile things like to bring to your attention; First, our we are closing out at half price is a wonderful buy for anyone who sews a lot. Second, if you enjoy crewel embroidery, be sure to look at our new Marion Nichols portfolio containing photographs of made-up models of all her kits. They are simply beautiful! And reasonably priced too. We already have a few of them and will be happy to order any we do not have that you would like.

The one I am most interested in is the sampler pillow that contains her complete book on crewel embroidery. The pillow complete with yarn, fabric, and the course is 19.50. What a lovely gift for anyone who' likes to embroider. Our lingerie class is in progress and we are delighted to have a gentleman in our midst. He is the first to take the course but we hope not the last.

Lingerie is such fun. any of you who missed out on this one will want to be sure to register for the next one; this one filled up awfully fast towards the end almost to the point of running over! Jeanne says she will teach another one before Christmas so let us know if you want to come. I was looking over some of our kits and find that we have several crocheted vest kits at 3.99 and quite a few of the belt- beret kits that are marked down from 2.79 to 1.98, The Mini- Macrame kits are very attractive. In the 1 98 range are a kit containing materials for kev fob and choker, one for a necklace and belt and at 2.49 are kits for a beaded belt and a belt and choker combined. There is something for everybody interested in Macrame in these kits and in the exellent books we have.

I know which is bigger right now, beads or Macrame but both are very popular. Speaking of beads, we just got in our long awaited rainbow oats in black and white. Hooray! Now for the for the marvelous cheesecake recipe I gave you last week. I make this every week now because one thing not allergic to and it really too fattening. If you use this topping it is though.

PRALINE TOPPING In heavy saucepan (I use iron skillet) brown together stirring constantly 2 tsp. butter, 3 Tbs. sugar and 3i sliced almonds. Spread on waxed paper and when cool, break up into pieces and sprinkle on top of cheesecake. If you have almonds use pecans, great.

Have fun, see you next week. Love, Pat.
