He married Patricia Thompson in 195-1 in Cambria. Survivors include his sons, Jim Owens and Terry Owens of Hurst; daughters, Tammy Blythe and her husband, Jerry, of Hurst and Sherry Owens of I lerrin and Shelly Owens of Hurst; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and best friend. Jack Leach. Donald was a good husband and father, and a loving Papa. I le was a veteran and was employed by King's Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a spouse, one sister, Joan Mason, and one brother, Howard Owens. Larry C. Moore CHRISTOPHER Larry C. Moore, 70, formerly of Christopher, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, in Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.

He was born April 28, 1936. in Christopher to William "Stubby" and Monnie Gladys (Harris) Moore. He was a laborer and a veteran of the Air Force. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Vickie Moore of Nashville, and Lonna and Doug Hargis of Zeigler; two sons, Jeffery Moore of Nashville and Bryan Moore of Du Quoin; four grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Tristin Hargis, Samantha Hargis and Joshua 1 largis; and one greatgrandchild, Katelyn Marie Mills; sister and brother-in-law. Marianne and Don Riley of Christopher; one special niece and her husband, Judy and John Giles; several nieces and nephews; and several good friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Moore and Boyde Moore, and one sister, Wilda Jo Burkitt. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with the Rev. John Giles officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Buckner.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Lois Covington MOUNT VERNON Lois Ellen Covington of Mount Vernon, formerly of Ponca City, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, in St.

Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert F. Freytag officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Catherine Y.Hale JONESBORO Catherine Yuvonne Hale, 81, ditd at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2006, in Union County Hospital.

She was born Oct. 7, 1924. in Effingham, the daughter of William Alva and Gladys Irene (Hummel) Cain. She married Leland F. "Jake" Hale on June 25, 1945, in Anna.

He preceded her in death May 3, 1998. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Harold Hale of Cape Girardeau, Daryl Hale of New Madrid, and Warren Hale of Roswell, five grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Gerald Cain of Anna; one sister, Mary Stewart of Buncombe; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Helen Russell and Thelma Clendenin, and a brother, Earl Cain. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, in Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion.

Family members will give the eulogies. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mrs.

Lukesh was born Aug. 2, 1942, in Chicago to Earnest and Marie (Mitchell) Kuhnke. She married James Lukesh on July 4, 1959, in Chicago, and together they shared 47 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, James of Marion; daughters, Marcella Marie Lukesh of Marion and Lois Ann Angone of Johnston City; son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Denise Lukesh of Chicago; grandchildren, Thomas, Joshua, Daniel and Angel Angone and Kristen and James Lukesh; her mother, Marie Kuhnke of Herrin; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bill Michael of Herrin; and brother, Edward Kuhnke of Herrin.

She was preceded in death by her father, two grandchildren, Adriana Nicole and Brian, and sister-in-law, Shirley Kuhnke. Mrs. Lukesh was a Methodist. She was a homemaker. She loved her family and will be missed very much.

Bill Craig BENTON Bill Craig, 82, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, in the Franklin County Hospital, Benton. Bill was born in Goreville, on March 17, 1924, a son of John Logan and Minnie Ellen (Bouie) Craig.

He married Rowie Ellen Phillips on Dec. 11, 1944 in DuQuoin and she survives. During his lifetime he was a Baptist, a member of the Benton Eagles Club, loved hunting, fishing, and training dogs for bird and raccoon hunting. Survivors include his wife, Rowie, two sons, Billy J. Craig and his wife, Joyce Elaine, of Du Quoin, Donald Ray Phillips, and his wife, Joann, of Du Quoin: six daughters, Mary Alice Ridgeway, and her husband, Walter Frank, of Du Quoin, Shirley Jean Murray, and her husband, Carl, of Orient, Marjorie Ellen Brown, and her husband, Charlie, of Mount Vernon, Ind; Juanita Bowers, and her husband, Charles, of Detroit, Carolyn Joann Emory of West Frankfort, and Rosalie Craig of Benton; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John Logan Craig; five sisters; four brothers; and two grandsons, John Ray and Billy Dale Craig. Services will be at noon Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 in Pyatt-Harrawood and Epplin Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Interment will be in the Cudgetown Cemetery. 12. 1911, in St. Paul, tncsonouonn Herman and Anna Elsa (Paul) Kuehner. Orville's mother passed Kuehner away at an early age, and he was raised by his stepmother, Martha Borchert. During Orville's childhood he lived in St.

Paul, Nason, 111, Mexico, and Metropolis before settling in Herrin in 1930. He married Alene Ross in Herrin on May 29, 1910, and she preceded him in death July 15, 2005. Mr. Kuehner worked for Standard Oil in Herrin. as a welder for Illinois Coal Corp.

in Nason, in the central shops for Consolidation Coal in Johnston City, and CWF Coal Co. of Waltonvillc. For many years he was on a Herrin bowling team. He enjoyed watching Herrin High School sporting events, especially boys basketball, and girls soft ball. He was always an avid fan of the St.

Louis Cardinals. Orville derived much pleasure from hearing amusing stories and cute sayings of his greatgrandchildren, and enjoyed sharing those stories with his next visitor. His family will miss his dry wit and easygoing nature. Mr. Kuehner was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Herrin, which was founded by his father and the late Dr.

Hennig. Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Kuehner Payne and husband, Bill, of Herrin, and Karen Kuehner Nighswander and husband, Jim, of Goreville; a son and daughter-in-law, Byron and Judy Kuehner of Herrin; eight grandchildren, Brad Payne and wife, Jodie, of Herrin, Joe Nighswander and wife, Sara, of Goreville, Jason Nighswander and wife, Ali, of Woodbury, Cindy Payne Griffith and husband, Kay, of Napcrville, Kim Payne Headean and husband, Jeff, of 1 Norton, Kristi Kuehner I Dillman and husband, Tyler, of Higley, Terri Nighswander If-klelstein and husband, Dick, of Stockton, and Handle Kuehner of Phoenix; 12 great-grandchildren; two half 'sisters, Natalie Kuehner Walta and husband, Arnold, of Washington, and Naomi Kuehner Banker of Oregon; several nieces and I nephews. Kuehner was preceded in death by his parents, his vife, and one sister, Beulah I Henderson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept.

1, 2006, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Herrin, with the Rev. Michael Ilenson officiating. Burial will Ibc in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

He was born July 24, 1916, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Ralph and Lucille Snyder. He married Betty Corzine McCrory on April 27, 1984.

She preceded him in death May 7, 2005. He is survived by one stepdaughter, Sandra Willis of Michigan; one sister in California; and one sister-in-law, Colleen Garrott of Anna. He and Betty spent summers -in Anna with Colleen Garrott. I He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty. Private burial for Wilbur Snyder was Monday, Aug.

Reiman and Florence (Heiple) Reiman. She was a homemaker and was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church in Murphysboro. Mrs. Herring's life was her family. She enjoyed her winters in Florida with her daughter and family, where she liked to go bowling with her daughter.

She spent her summers here in beautiful Southern Illinois with her son and his family. She especially liked to grow flowers and to landscape. She also loved "find the word" puzzles. Lorraine married Sod Herring on Jan. 8, 1938, in St.

Louis, and he preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1989. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Ed Fisher of Wesley Chapel, one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Sandy Herring of Murphysboro; five grandsons and their wives, Mark and Dusty Fisher, Gregory Fisher and Joe Fisher of Tampa, Todd and Lena Herring of O'Fallon and Tim and Amy Herring of Murphysboro; four great-grandchildren, Grant Herring, Garrett Herring, Olivia Herring and Sam Herring. She was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Fisher, one brother, Leo Reiman, and her parents. Linda Craig CENTRALIA Linda Craig, 56, died at 2:07 p.m.
