Ruth Benschoter Bride Tuesday, Oet»b«r 4, 1964 , (la.) Upper DM Moines w St. Thomas Episcopal church, Algona, was the setting for the wedding of Ruth Marie Ben- choter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Benschoter and James Emery Park , son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Park Cedar Rapids. Rev. Donald Baustian and Rev. Milo Dailey officiated at the double ring ceremony, Sept. 10 at 2 p. m. Alan Bode was soloist accompanied by Mrs. Everett Anderson at the organ. Holly Benschoter was maid of honor and Pat Dale was bridesmaid. John Park was best man, Jim Hulbert, groomsman and ushers were Darrell Netherton and Robert Kramer. The bride wore a gown of bridal bouquet candlelight taffeta, with an empire waist and A-line skirt. The belled sleeves and bottom of skirt were trimmed with lace, as was the detachable train. Her veil of tooled candlelight net edged in lace was gathered to a pillbox crown. Her bouquet was a cascade of miniature roses. A reception was held at 3p.m. at the bride's home with 200 guests present. Marcia McClaren registered the guests, Mrs. Arthur Benschoter and Mrs. Gilbert Benschoter cut the cake, Mrs. John Wilson poured coffee and Mrs. Floyd Bode poured punch. The gifts were in charge of Fern Feldman, Marilyn Skow and Marcia McClaren. Waitresses were Dianne Malueg, Joyce Anderson and Ann Wilson. The bride is a graduate of Algona High School, attended State College of Iowa for one year and presently is a senior at the University of Iowa, majoring in psychology and elementary education. The groom is a graduate of Washington High School, Cedar Rapids, and is a senior at the University of Iowa in mechanical engineering. After their wedding trip, they will be at home at Iowa City.
