FTorewell Party HARTFORD — Mrs. Bertha Wadeking of E. Maple St., gave a farewell party at her home Tuesday evening for her son, Calvin, who is in the army, prior to his leaving for Ft. Dix, N. J., to embark for duty in Germany. Wadeking, whjbL. has been in the army one ye8f' t . was stationed at Fort Lewis. Wash., prior to coming home for a 30- day leave. The Welches were also guests for the noon meal Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. John Grizzle and daughter, Marsha, spent the weekend at Fairfield, Iowa, where they attended the Vorhies family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Ciller of Chicago, their grandson, David Jacobs of Dallas, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hertensteiner of West Bend, Wig., and Mrs. W. E. Strang of Wood River were dinner guests Sunday evening of Mayor and Mrs. Richard Ciller. Mr. and Mn>. John Elmer Garrison and son, Danny, and Mrs. Garrison's mother, Mrs. Grace Johnson all of Houston, Texas, have been guests for a week of Garrison's father, Elmer Garrison and Mrs. Garrison and left Tuesday to return to their home via Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Siemer and two sons, Marc and Eric, of Webster Groves and Mrs. Siemer's mother, Mrs. Dolly Higgins of Chicago, are guests this week and Siemer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
