DAS Crime Continued From Page 1 that was when they happened to pull their cars up side-byside at a red light. In other testimony Friday, Albert Tartaglia, an auto repairman, said that a car owned by Frank A. Vendituoli, 56, of West Barrington, was taped-up and on a rack in an East Providence repair shop on April 7, the date on which Kelley said Vendituoli used the car to drive men to the meeting at which Patriarca allegedly said he wanted Marfeo killed.

Vendituoli is one of four men acquitted last March of charges in connection with the slayings. Patriarca's case is being reheard since a 1970 jury disagreed on the accessory charges. The 1970 panel found Patriarca and three others guilty of conspiracy in the slayings, and sentenced each man to ten years in prison. Another man was found guilty of the murders and was sentenced to life. Deficit Continued From Page 1 ation," the officials added.

Another reason for the size of the deficit is the currency realignment of last December, an agreement which devalued the dollar and revalued upward several key currencies. The result was to make foreign imports in this country more expensive and U.S. exports overseas cheaper. But demand for foreign goods in this country is still strong, meaning that consumers are buying about the same amount of foreign commodities as they did before but at higher prices. U.S.

officials say it will take some time for the currency settlement to discourage consumer demand for imports. Legal Notice COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS. WORCESTER, SS. PROBATE COURT. To all persons interested in the estate of PETER COPETA late of ATHOL, in said County, deceased.
