The activities Include arts aftti crafts, games, tournaments -fend stories, and are held In the park house basement and outdoors. Arts and oraftt instruction is given dally from 2 to 4 p.m. This year a new craft, leather work, is being introduced for Older youths. Other playground activities art open for children from 4 to 14 years of age. Tom Faudree, Illinois Bell Telephone Co. wire chief reported today. Included in this total were eight instances of cable trouble. There wcrr 123 instances where the service entrances to houses were damaged and needed replacement or repairs. Six telephone poles were broken during the storm. Last night six men \vorked until midnight but because of the darkness and danger involved when working with downed lines after dark, work was again taken up this morning at 5. Thirty men were at work this morning and it was reported that all service would br restored by '2 p.m. today. In Rosewood Heights a 900-pair cable was repaired following damage. This cable gives service to 900 private lines or 1800 two-party lines or a combination of both. A 200-pair cable was damaged and later repaired in East Alton.
