Woden Crystal, Hurt Post Stale Line Wins In the State Line Tournament at Ringsted Saturday night, Woden Crystal downed Lakota 77-48 in the first game and Burt walked over Lincoln Central 63-48 in the second game. Woden Crystal jumped to a 19-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and enjoyed a 40-21 advantage at halftime. Woden took a 52-34 lead into the final quarter and coasted to its win. Woden was paced by Paul Kirschbaum's 53 points. In the second game, Burt led at all quarter breaks— 14-11, 2827 and 47-42 to capture its State Line win. Dick Sunde was high scorer for the Hawks with 12 points. The Ringsted girls play Woden Crystal at Ledyard Monday night. Ringsted swept a doubleheader from Burt with the Great Danes capturing the girls' contest 6251 and the Ringsted boys edging the Bears 43-42 Friday night at Burt. In girls' action, Ringsted jumped to a 17-9 lead at the end of the first period and built a 31-21 advantage at halftime. The Danes owned a 45-35 lead at the end of the third quarter and breezed to its State Line win. Susan Johnson pumped in 24 for Ringsted to pace the Danes. Mary Geesman poured in 20. Patty Grubb led the Burt girls by pumping in 29. Sandy Sill finished the night with 14 points. In the boys' contest, Burt own- the first quarter and took a 2416 advantage into the locker room at halftime. The Danes came within one at 33-32 at the end of the third period and overtook the Bears in the fourth period to capture its sixth conference win of the season. Ringsted was led by Kevin Hansen's 16 points. Bill Wikert finished the night with 14. Joel Jentz paced the Bears with 14 followed by Bob Labbe's 13. Ringsted is now 13-1 overall and 6-1 in State Line action. Burt holds a 3-4 mark in State Line play and is 3-G overall. Iowa Lakes Jazz Ensemble To Perform Iowa Lakes Community College's new Jazz-Lab Ensemble will present a halftime performance during the Iowa Lakes-Iowa Central basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 16, according to an announcement by Mike Day, instrumental director at the college. Demonstration AMSTERDAM (AP) - Thirty demonstrators protesting the U.S. bombing of North Vietnam occupied the U.S. Consulate in Amsterdam today. The police sent a riot squad to the building in Museum Square, near the KLM Air Terminal. They said thoy were trying to contact Consul Eugene M. Braderman to discuss the situation.
