Harold LaPorte Co., next to Hi-Way Lumber Co. 20t3c Scout Camp Opens On Noyo, June 26 Ken Hickenbottom, local scout executive, is leaving for Camp Noyo Saturday where he is assistant camp director and business manager. Going with him from Ukiah for the pioneer period are Roger Stevens, Burnett Tregoning, Floyd Myers and Hugh Haskell, scouts from troops 45 and 46. Scouts from the Ukiah area so far signed lip for Camp Noyo are Bobby Oden, Billy, Fowler, Ward .Bingham, Paul Barker, Kent Foster, George Potter, Robert Hunt, Dennis, Oxford, Bobby Wright, Wesley Bpesch,. Robin Lindsay. Camp Noyo registrations are still open to scouts in, this area and the first period starts June 26. The camp periods this year are June 26-July 10, July 10-26, July 26-31, July 31-August 6. The camp fee is $13 per week. Camp Noyo is on the Noyo river, 14 miles from Fort Bragg, and is owned by the local Boy Scout council. During each period 125 boys can attend and participate in a highly scheduled program of swimming, hiking, fishing, camping, scoutc;i-aft and woodcraft.
