and checks was stolen Thursday or riday from the Beaufort County Library branch on Hilton Head Island according to a Beaufort County Department report The theft of $1000 cash and $200 worth of checks Shops Mitchell a gourmet cook and fitness buff is on the Top Ten fugutive list and is wanted for a string of 10 bank robberies dating back to 1980 March special agent in the BI's Beaufort office said Mitchell is about 5 feet 10 inches tall weights 170 to 185 pounds and has blue eyes He had a mustache and brown hair at the time of the robbery but he may now have sail and pepper hair and a beard qual ified workers amily homeless ire destroys trailer home of island couple 4 children By TOMSZAROLETA Packet staff writer A riday evening fire left a Hil ton Head Island couple and their four children homeless A family friend said the Chris Munocz family had no insurance on the trailer that was destroyed in a fire at 3 Place off Wild Horse Road Munocz was able to get his chil dren out of the trailer unharmed His wife was not home at the time of the fire authorities said Batallion Chief Allen Perry of Hilton Head Island ire Rescue said the fire started at 8:26 pm in a bedroom of the home By the time firefighters from the depart stations at Hilton Head Plantation and on Spanish Wells Road arrived flames and smoke were visible from the left side of the trailer Perry said the trailer was a total loss with damage estimated at $12000 The fire was extinguished at 8:39 pm but it destroyed the master bedroom and bathroom and smoke caused heavy damage throughout the rest of the weapons to school By KATHY HEBERGER Special to The Packet BEAUORT Two Battery Creek High School students charged with carry ing a weapon on school property riday morning were being held in a juvenile fa cility in Columbia Saturday night One student was suspected of carrying a handgun at school Lt Steve Rogers of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Department said but no weapon was found on him when deputies arrivied at the school and conducted a search Another student was suspected of carry ing a can of mace which was found near him during the deputies' search for weap ons Rogers said Carrying a weapon on school property is a violation of the Safe Schools Act The students will be returned to Beau fort Monday for a detention hearing be fore a family court judge The judge will decide whether they should stay in the state juvenile holding facility until their family court date or be released to their parents Rogers said further details about the in cident and the ages of the students would not be available from police reports until today Several other students also told deputies that they saw the student point the handgun at another student Sgt John oskey said riday's incident was the
