Mrs. Blanch Bouwmeester accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Van Pelt from Maurice to Sioux City Thursday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Herman Van Pelt. Mrs. Irwln Van Zee called on her mother, Mrs. Sarah Van Zee Friday. Mrs. Minnie Steuvens took Miss Martha Meyer along to shop in Le Mars, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mouw from Sheldon called on Otto Mouw Sunday. Mr. Herman Vander Maten spent Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kosters in Sioux Center. Mrs. Wm. Westras visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Harm Frue from Rushmore, Minn, on Thursday, Mrs. Henry Lammers from Sioux Center on Wednesday and Mrs. John Fennema from Alton Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Harokd Kraal spent Sunday In the Ray Kraal home in Council Bluffs, la. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kraal, Miss Mabel Kraal and Mr. Wm. Kraai accompanied them. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Le Roy Kraai and Krlstl visited the Harold Kraal's. Mrs. Wm. Westras visitors were Mrs. Henry Lammers from Sioux Center on Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. HarmFrye from Rushmore, Minn, on Thursday, and Mrs. John Fennema from Alton on Saturday. Community service program to be given by Legion Auxiliary The American Legion Auxiliary will have their Community Service Program in the Sioux County Home on March 29. (Please note change of date). Members will be donating cookies and meeting at 7:00 p.m. In the Bowling Alley. The 8:15 p.m. meeting will be held In the home of Mrs. Fred Vander Weerd. A Girl Stater will be chosen. All members are urged to attend. We also wish to express thanks to all who donated to the Bake Sale. April 15 is the date set for the District Conference In Marcus, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Vander Laan, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Patton, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jonker went to Storm Lake on Sunday, March 19, for the Prairie Gold Area Council Recognition Banquet held at the Cobblestone Inn. The keynote address was given by Dr. Tom Haggai, a Baptist minister from High Point, N.C.who has received the Silver Antelope from the Region and the Silver Buffalo from the National Scout Council. Ninetyfour Eagle Scouts were honored. More than 800 persons attended the banquet. Mr. and Mrs. Henry O. Everyone enjoyed themselves while participating in bridal games after which the brides to be opened their many lovely gifts, A colorful lunch was served by the hostesses.
