Pfaneer Home news Mr. and Mrs. E. Peuse Mr. and Mrs. Willard Van Peursem from Orange City and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Mouw from Spencer took their father Mr. Abe Van Peursem out for dinner at Struble for his birthday Thursday evening. All his grandchildren called on him at other times. On Wed. night he treated the home with Ice cream and cake. Mrs. Peter Schaaf, Mrs. John Jeltema and Mrs. Andrew Hulsman called on Mrs. Minnie Hulsman. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heynen from Hull called on their mother Mrs. Grace Engbers. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Vande Kool visited their mother Mrs. Bertha Tulnenga Friday. Mrs. Lawrence Rowenhorst called on her brother George Dulstermars Monday. , Mr. and Mrs. Carl Palm- qulst Jr. from Movllle, Iowa visited Mr. Ed Wassenaar on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Palmquist sr. called on him Tuesday. Mrs. Blanch Bouwmuster visited In the Rudy Van Pelt home at Maurice Friday. Mrs. Gertie Grlfharst Is visiting in the Jack Campbell home In Sioux Falls this week. Mr. Otto Mouw was pleasan- tle surprised at the Bernie Vander Aarde home Friday' for his 92nd birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew De Zeuw, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lubbers and Mrs. (Rea) Fred Lubbers from Sioux Center, Mrs. Jacob Heemstra, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Heemstra, Mrs. Katie Raak, Mrs. Bert Lubbers, Mrs. John Lubbers, Mr. Ed Wassenaar and Mrs. John Hof- meyer from Orange City. Saturday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mouw from Sheldon, Mr, and Mrs. Vernon Mouw, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mouw and Mrs. John Hofmeyer served ice-cream and cake to the residents, .Those visiting Mr. Frank De Jong for his 90th birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smlts and family, Mr. Tim Smlts, Mr; and Mrs. Bert De Jong, Mr, and Mrs. Dennis DeJong, and family all from Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin De Jong and family, Mr. andMrs. Bill De Jong and family from Hospers, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Zylstra and family from Archer, Mr. and Mrs. John Annema and family, Mr. and Mrs, John Elgerson and family from Sanborn, Mr. and Mrs. Butch Cleverlnga and family from Sioux Center, Mrs. Harriet De Jong from Grand Rapids, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nibbelink and family from Carmel, la., Mr. and Mrs. Glen De Jong and family from Alton, Miss Sandra Vande Berg from Manhattan, Montana, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smits and Ron and Twlla Claatwike, and Mr, and Mrs. Paul De Leeuw from Orange City. Monday night Mr. De Jong treated the residents of the home with ice cream cake roll. Mr, and Mrs. HannasWoel- bur from Sheldon called on Miss Martha Meyer, Sunday. Mrs. Sarah Van Zee's visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Zee from Middleburg on Monday. Mr, and Mrs. Carl Behrens from Marshall, Minn, and Mr. andMrs. Irwin Van Zee and Darlafrom Hospers Thursday. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Kraal and family and Mrs, John Peterson from Newell were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kraai. Mr. Herman Vande Maten spent the weekend with his >. daughter and son-on-law the Lavern Grooters at Boyden where he attended a banquet Monday night. Local A/m Mr. and Mrs, Fred Verdoorn and family from Sioux City were visitors on Sunday In the John Post home. Mr. Verdoorn provided the special music at the Reformed Church In Alton on Sunday evening. Guests following the service In the Post home were Mr. and Mrs. John Verdoorn, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Relnders, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Koster and family and Mr. and Mrs. Art Klelnhessellnk. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Plender will be spending the weekend visiting with the Arlln Plender family In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The BPW Club met on Thursday evening at the home of Nelvlna Scholten. Mrs. M. D. Van Oosterhout was In charge of the program. Miss Jean Goettsch of Spirit Lake who Is District President was also a guest. Weekend guests of Mrs. Florence stegeman were Mr. and Mrs. Dean De Vrles of Uklaha, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Schutt, Kevin and Joy of Sheldon and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Te Kolste of Firth, Nebr. were Sunday dinner guests. They had returned their children to Northwestern after the Spring break. Supper guests were Mr, and Mrs. Nelson Nieuwenhuls of Hospers.
